WBC is a elite title but they dropped the ball allowing Rubio to fight Golovkin for the interim in a 'unification' even though Rubio failed to make the limit of 160...to make matters worse Golovkin was then treated like a contender in its policy throughout negotiations despite being a ' unified ' champion ; typically champions are not even ranked to be in this position in the first place!!! what a joke.

G wants the fight. He wants it on terms favorable to him. The same as any other fighter. He's the champ so he dictates the terms. If Canelo doesn't like it he can go kick rocks down the road. That's my view and that's what I would tell Canelo if I were in his position. If the fight doesn't get made well too bad. It's up to G to decide how much money is acceptable to put his titles on the line.

GGG has been mandatory since 2014 when he knocked out Rubio for the Interim Belt, GGG was mandatory for Maravilla, then Cotto, and when Cotto wanted to face Canelo, the WBC made one last excemption and said the Winner HAS TO FACE GGG NEXT. Canelo agreed, he knew long long before he even fought Cotto, that he has to face GGG next and he agreed, otherwise the belt would have not been on the line for Canelo.

I thought real boxing fans paid attention and knew Canelo had a year to negotiate. And during that 15 days they didn't try, k2 at time said they'd take 70/30.

He took the money because there was no way on God's Green Earth that Cotto would ever get in the ring with G at 160. Cotto knows deep down that he would be annihilated by Golovkin. He's too close to the end of his career to risk his health in a fight he can't possibly win.

Canelo acting like a bitter bitch. It wasn't 15 days. He knew when he fought Cotto he would have to fight GGG if he won. They gave him an exception to fight Khan, a fight he knew he was gonna win. He had 7 months to decide. And the date for the All Star case was announced in Jan so Canelo knew he'd be going to trial in June back in Jan.

Tureano Johnson was the intended battle tester, per WBC allowing both fighters to have one fight before they meet. 2 weeks notice they get a house arrest Wade who comes in the ring with fatty love handles with nothing to show...

The Tureano injury is suspect... wonder how much Loeffler paid for that.. because if GGG is injured from Jacobs, how would such an injury affect if they had met?
