Now you're really splitting hairs (e.g., who claims to be more Mexican vs. Mexican Pride)...and also reading that initial post very rigidly. Would it have been more accurate if he had said, "it's strange how boxers with Mexican blood are always talking about how they represent their country and how one is more Mexican/less Mexican..."

Regardless, it was hardly an inflammatory statement, and you, for some reason, took it to the next level as though the guy had spit on your first born.

As for an example (according to your definition of "Mexican") why doesn't Morales v. Barrera work?

When two Mexicans fight, pride will always be a part of the build up, it sells no sh.it but that's not what fox said... he said Mexicans claim to be more Mexican than the other which isn't true at all... that was my point. Talking nonsense.

When you say "pride will always be a part of the build up," does that include national pride?

But those are typical rules for all the sanctioning bodies. Why does Canelo go after these belts if he does not agree with the terms for mandatory defences. You sound like you had a mould of Canelo's **** made and you sleep with it in your mouth every night.

Yes and, if they are from say south part of Mexico and north part of Mexico it still doesn't change the fact that they both Mexicans... one might say like Barrera called morales the "Indio" from TJ... that doesn't give any indication of Barrera saying he is more Mexican at all. Just clowning morales for being dark, it's like when you see a east coast west coast beef in the states. Same thing..

It's a foreign concept to me. I can't imagine two Americans arguing over who is more American (unless it's the GOP primaries).
because americans is the majority and america is where the money is made. so when you're a foreign, you take pride in representing your country in a sport where USA is where the money and fame is at.

Interesting. When I heard translations of the Morales v. Barrera build up, I heard it as each guy saying they were better representatives of the Mexican spirit than the other. Is that incorrect?

That may be true, as far as I'm concerned, Canelo has been a better representative of Mexico, but nowhere did Canelo say he is more Mexican. Apples and oranges
