The context is fighting outside of Mexico. Vegas, Texas, etc.., representing the real Mexican fighter. If you watch almost every ESPN Deportes they've always thought little of Chavez Jr.'s hiatus and habits. That's another context they're referring to. If Boxing were strictly in the UK for all any major fights, you could easily see a narrative of American fighters saying who the real "American" representative is given identical circumstances like Chavez Jr. and Alvarez.

I have cousins fight over our last name that's how crazy Mexicans can get. I was just telling somebody about it the other day.Strange to me how Mexican boxers are always talking about how they represent their country and how one is more Mexican/less Mexican, etc. Not that I think there's anything wrong with it. It's a foreign concept to me. I can't imagine two Americans arguing over who is more American (unless it's the GOP primaries).Comment

year it makes business sense, of course Canelo and all of us know that bbb is more of a threat at 160 then jr will be at 164.5. Bbb said anyone from 154-168... they thought Canelo would never vacate and were trying to get the 45% split... which they don't deserve. Stop with all the bs. We all know what happened. 14 days not long enough to make that fight. Look at triple b now... begging for fight with cashneloComment

that would be very easy to answer.Strange to me how Mexican boxers are always talking about how they represent their country and how one is more Mexican/less Mexican, etc. Not that I think there's anything wrong with it. On Chavez vs Canelo, how can Canelo say that Chavez is ...... when he is clearly the laughing stock of Mexico?Comment

And I think if you go back on the thread Red stated Mexicans claims to be more Mexican than another... not about Mexican pride. I even agree us Mexicans are proud people, but now of you have provided an example of where it comes out of one Mexicans mouth saying he is more Mexican than another Mexican.. take this LI think if you go back and read the thread, you'd see that you were the one who really escalated the intensity with a "STFU," which really wasn't warranted at that time in the conversation. Since then, many people have presented examples illustrating his point about Mexican pride in the build-up to fights.
Now you seem to be saying that those examples don't count because this is just between you and Redd Foxx. You're not exactly having a private conversation.
I think you need to take a breath and regroup.Comment

He didn't mind using that sanctioning body's belt when it suited him to fight khan. How dare they expect the champion (that's what he allowed himself to be marketed as) to fulfil he's mandatory. He's is too special.Comment

He made khan go to 155 as apposed to bbb making brook go to full 160, but you defend bbb? Bbb the one who said anyone from 154-168... plus all this as the BBB side! He had no room to call any shot against cashnelo and after Saturday I'd be surprised if he gets the same 15 mil offer...Comment

Nothing hotter than a super hot Mexican chick and when you get her to drop those panties, that vag smells just like the country's cuisine.Comment
