Fighter age differently. Hopkins was nowhere near his prime, not saying GGG and Hopkins situation is comparable. GGG is not in his prime, he is not the same guy anymore, but he wasn't Hopkins nearly at 50. It's an okay win for Kovalev, Kovalev's win over Ward is far far better.

Gennady's win over Wade at HBO headquarters, they dipped the HD CAM tapes in Gold. It sits above all the HBO Championship boxing archives as the most cherished piece, and it's signed by Floyd himself!!

Guys like porter's dad do that because ggg didn't look like the guy we've been told he is in the Jacobs fight. If they didn't do that they'd have to entertain the idea that he isn't as good as they think, which is something they will never do.

So if Gennady still wants to pursue the WBO past 2018, would you guys still say he is old? Didn't you guys say BHop was old campaigning at 160? How far did Bhop go past 40?

Would Golovkin face a guy like Kovalev at Bhops age or at least move north? Or is he old? Wait what?

Don't you want your dude to take on Ramirez? If Gennady magically does well against UK fighters or sells out a Wade fight... then don't you think Ramirez makes "financial sense" now at 168? The Champ? If he can't get the 160 WBO then why not the 168 WBO?! History will write that Gennady couldn't get the WBO at 160 but BoxRec shows he went and got at 168?!

              Damn, dropping knowledge...
You and the rest of your troop have been saying that GGG is old for the last 2 years, but now you're spitting your dummy because somebody else said it?

You are saying what has already been said. We saiid Golvokin was getting old, at least I did, that's my opinion, but have hundreds of posts rooting for Gennady to be a 2 division champion before father time comes. Too much ams withered him out. Can he be competitive at 168? Many ggg fans said he could easily, but that he wanted all the belts first...meanwhile DeGale and Ramirez been calling out....meanwhile the same said there's no money in fighting DeGale...but he was the reason Brook sold out...

                See the problem?

The problem is that nothing of what you wrote there is true.

Except that Mayweather ****suckers - aka fake Ward/Canelo/Lara fans - have been adding a year to GGG's true age whenever they mention him and talking about how his "old azz is pushing 40" for the last 2 years.

Mayweather is gone and it's only a matter of time before the #48 (average IQ) crew are gone too. Boxing, and this site especially, will be better without you.

                      He's 35.

We were saying he was old for the past few years and probably declining a little each year.

Don't be mad about a simple fact.
