Numbers don't lie but those people pushing them buttons do....tell who threw and landed more combos? And the expectations were not low for Jacobs cuz only true boxers and fans had Jacobs winning before the fight. Outcome Jacobs really won and they gave it to lil g to make a big money fight with canelo sort of what they did with Felix Sturm vs de la Hoya to get the Bernard Hopkins fight. Peace. Mic dropped.

His promoter frank warren said it when he was tryin to get lil g to fight "bily joe who" to unify. His team said he was hurt so the fight couldn't be made that's why bily joe got all brave and started talking tough but personally I know lil g would knock him out cuz he a bum....now his team probably would be tellin lies to get the canelo fight cuz Oscar said if he fought bily joe there would be no fight this year for lil g.Comment

Yeah they should have. I don't know what exactly is going on but waiting for Canelo appears ******. I know it's a good payday but the fight may never happen. Oscar may go for a rematch with Chavez if Jr makes it a close fight. As far as G's career goes I think this situation is an accident waiting to happen.Comment

Who gives a rat's a$$ who through more combos. All that means is that considering GGG through more punches despite throwing fewer combinations I.E he was more consistent with his offense.Numbers don't lie but those people pushing them buttons do....tell who threw and landed more combos? Here is some math maybe you can understand:
More consistent offense+more accurate offense+scored the only knockdown in the fight+spent almost the entire fight moving forward= Victory for GGG.
Its easy to cry conspiracy when you don't do enough to win a close fight. Maybe if Jacobs did less posing and less moving backwards and more punching he would have won. Oh well.Comment

Actually you're right. I must have got the lines crossed while I was going back and forth between the stats. But still, statistically GGG won more of the categories by wider margins, scored the only knock down and spent pretty much the entire fight moving forward. Jacobs posed and roared like GGG's punches didn't hurt but spent the entire time moving backwards. Actions speak louder than words.Comment

I know it doesn't fit you agenda but clear winner my a$$. Most like me had g string winning by a point or two or a draw. Now the nagging question if g string isn't going to fight Canelo (get that 15 million the **** outta here) or Jacobs, who is he gonna fight. Back to the second and third raters for g string? Another welter weight?
Btw, did you ever find that source to back up your post when you accused Andre Ward of being a wife beater? A very low life scum bag ****sukker thing to do with no backup.Comment

I am sure whomever GGG fights will be better than the sacrificial lamb Jacobs gets matched up with. Haters crap all over GGG's resume but Jacob's competition has been downright pathetic. When Sergio Mora is your 4th best opponent by far you've got problems.Comment

are you now trying to argue that power punching doesn't count, lol?
Golovkin throws 35 jabs a round, and clowns like you are now arguing that th fight is some washout. get over yourself.Comment

Behind a busy jab, Golovkin did win more of the categories; I've simply been making the point that the fight, even looking at just the punch stats, warrants a rematch.Actually you're right. And Jacobs didn't spend the entire fight going backward; if he had, Golovkin would've gotten onto his roll and tried to swamp him (as he's tried to do to everyone else that he's fought).
Jacobs had really good lateral movement, consistently changed the look orthodox/southpaw, cut Golovkin's flow by coming forward in spots, used his range long, changed his headslot pretty consistently, fought on the counter, etc. Jacobs threw out so much information for Golovkin to try and sort through, that Golovkin was left being twice as busy with his jab as he's ever been to try and give himself some time to figure out what he was seeing.
Let's see what Golovkin can do in a rematch (Jacobs was running out of gas by the 12th, but it still isn't all that clear that Golovkin really figured out what he was in the ring with, with Jacobs now knowing that Golovkin's power isn't otherworldly)Comment
