Yeah, he lost a couple of fights he shouldn't have. He came back and stopped both to right the mistakes.

Holyfield (x2), Klitschko, Tyson, Ruddock, Golota, Briggs, Tua, Grant, Mercer, Bruno, Tucker, Botha, Morrison...

He beat every man he ever fought in a great HW era. Most of these guys he didn't just beat, he either outclassed or obliterated them.

Lewis at his best beats any HW that ever lived.

I'm a Lewis fan and was lucky enough to see him fight a few times .It's a bit a of a daft comment by Lennox really , if you were to put them both at AJ's stage then it would be a fairly equal affair. Lennox went on to do great things but was knocked out twice by average world class fighters. For AJ it's far too soon to call how good or how bad at the top level he may or may not be.

Only time will tell , calm down Lennox.

It's gonna be difficult from an opposition point of view. Let's say he crushes Wlad in the way Lewis did Ruddock. Then gets Fury, which is he's version of Bowe. Then beats Wilder and a few contenders such as Ortiz, Parker ect. It's not quite the quality of some of Lennoxs foes, but considering Tyson and Holyfield weren't at their peaks, and if Josh can avoid a knockout loss, I'd say he deserved to be above Lewis.

Its a hard one. Holyfield and Tyson were good wins but they were not what they would've been in their primes. Mercer gave him life and death. The losses while avenged were sloppy. If Josh can crush Wlad, Wilder, Fury, Parker, Ortiz, would you reassess your opinion. I think I would.

As long as Anthony Joshua doesn't do a Lennox Lewis and retire when he has a very tough fight, instead of giving the rematch and giving the fans what they wanted to see.
Lennox Lewis is up there with the greats, but he isn't untouchable, nobody is untouchable.

It's very likely true, but let it play out and show itself.

Except for Vitali Klitschko in a rematch, Lennox at his peak decided to retire instead of getting an exceptional pay day.

Only things against Lewis are that his chin was not that strong, and he struggled against Mercer and against Holyfield in the rematch. He's far better than the robotic Klitschkos, and beat Vitali even though he wasn't in top shape. Can't forget that hellacious uppercut.

but not too powerful to avoid getting stomped by the dreaded Oliver McCall.

Ray Mercer beat him from pillar to post...but got robbed.

He had both Lewis' eyes slammed shut.
