I genuinely believe he wanted to fight BJS at the Expo. From what I've heard, his team have said he can't make the proposed date of June the 20th, and BJS has lost patience after issuing deadlines.

Now I'm willing to accept that it could be smoke and mirrors to pursue a more lucrative fight with Canelo instead. It's definitely possible. However, GG has proven already that he does want to obtain every belt in the division. If not, he wouldn't have fought Jacobs. Jacobs was a tough fight, and he waited around for him for that long, it cost him fighting 3 times last year. So he could have dumped Jacobs to one side and took on 2 other fights for more money. But he didn't do that. He wants the biggest fights and the belts, hand in hand. It's silly to suggest he's being lying about wanting the belts, just because it appears as though he's not going to be fighting BJS next. Again: Even if he fights Canelo next, he will go on to pursue whoever holds the WBO belt afterwards. There is no doubt about that.
Your post is fair enough until the last part, the way they treated bjs and let him out in the cold after he paid step aside it really complicates any future negotiations in the future, even if canelo loses to ggg(big if) bjs will rather give canelo the title shot over ggg...

But, he is the biggest threat I see at MW. Who do you think will be the first to fight him of the ones I mentioned? I think GGG gives him a shot before the others do. I also think Charlo serves him up his first loss.
With Canelo at 160.....he will log jam the entire division and no fights get made.

      Just watch.

Let's join together in prayer that Chavez Jr rids boxing of that scourge.

Supposedly they offered ggg 10 mill to fight in astana and unify... if that was true then it was well worth taking the fight even if they had to postpone canelo until may 2018...
You make a ton of money and make your dream come true in front of your people and the canelo payday will still be on the table later on...
Supposedly is the key word here. We don't know what was really offered by anyone. Either way, if GGG fights BJS this year or next he is taking that title. Meanwhile he wants the Canelo fight while he is still in his prime and before He or Canelo suffer a loss and the fight loses it's appeal.

Right, so the fact that this doesn't appear to be happening now, must lend some credence to the notion that his camp may be telling the truth about him not being able to make the date of the Expo, due to needing more rest time?

That has to be at least a possibility, right?

He took step aside money already instead of a title shot... thats part of the history..

What you've typed have been attempts at pathetic excuses for the guy. Facts speak for themselves, the guy's resume is pure ****!

Well that part came to the forum from ggg fans, but the way they were able to offer bjs what he was asking suggests that ggg will be getting good payday. . But If the money wasnt really there then thats a good excuse to not make the fight... cant really blame them for that..

They haven't been unfair to BJS, IF they're being genuine in saying that GG can't make the date because he needs more rest.

I understand what you're saying, but if GG beats Canelo, it would still be the biggest fight out there for BJS. He may be tougher to negotiate with, but GG will have all of the other belts.

If the canelo fight gets made, he will beat golovkin.

It is, but that is weird the way the news came out from abel, first he is not injured and we can fight in june, then he is sore and not enough time...
