Nope, he chooses to bet and loses..
He could have fought or gain the title instead of waiting....
But nah, we can wait, he waisted nearly 2 years on his quest and got only 800k from cotto in return...
He eventually got the title but waisted lots of time..
Wasted his entire career is more along the lines

That's also why they're still chasing Canelo even though he gave up the belt and has shown no interest in fighting him. But they convinced the public and boxing media that GGG was different from other fighters.
This is a crock of ****. Which 160 lb fights has GGG turned down before this? He turned this down because it makes the fight he's been trying to get for 3 years more likely. At 35, he'd be a fool not to.

He knows he now has the option of going back to the U.K. to fight guys like Eubank for a guaranteed £5m.

When Jacobs messed him around, he could have dropped him and his belt, to pursue a guy like Eubank instead. Jacobs cost him fighting 3 times last year.

Stop hating and try to be objective.
That's where you're wrong...eubank wants to run ALL the terms and there's certainly no guarantee that he ever gets that fight. He's had opportunities to fight froch, but they tried to dictate to him, who is by FAR the draw. Dumba@@ could've just said "ok, I'll do 172" and likely came out with 10-15 million. Instead they offered Carl 166 who had said he couldn't even make 168. Golovkin KOs HWs doe! Bull****! Oh, while he's over in the UK causing mass destruction, he could've fought degale, but no, brook was less risk and he still almost got his head knocked off by the ww.

          LOL GTFOH with that nonsense.

How about the much simpler, much less complicated story.

GGG/K2 wanted to unify with Saunders
K2 had made prelminary moves to do GGG-Saunders at EXPO 2017
GGG got a bit dinged up in a tougher-than-expected Jacobs fight, and has to heal
          Plans had to be changed.

far less interesting than the big conspiracy fable that these 4 idiots and their alts keep posting, but true nonetheless.
Yes! It was! Only HBO thought that good boy gaylovkin was going to make them boatloads of money, and it backfired with barely passing 200k ppvs in 2 events. Now they've found out he's not a draw, so it's in their best interest to have him fight better opposition and go ahead and lose and be done with him.

So why didn't he follow what lomachenko did and just get right to work fighting top guys? Instead he was fighting a beyond shot ouma, shot rubio, smaller rosado, and bum after bum that Martinez had already knocked out or beaten, and then finally a guy 13 full lbs lower that exposed him, and then Jacobs who many believe beat him.

Saunders paid Khurtsidze step aside money in order to make the ggg fight, he agreed on everything and requested the contract from gggs team, he was promised the contract weeks ago by loeffler but someone lost the pen and the contract never left gggs camp...

If he beats Canelo he still gets no credit from you. You say he beat a Jr. MW who walks around at 180. Brook walks around at 175 and has no business at 147. I guess you can say GGG was exposed the same way Mayweather was exposed against Castillo, Maidana and DLH. Or Ward was exposed against Kovalev. You are just a GGG hater, which is fine. But don't act as though he ducked anyone or played the Mayweather game of waiting guys out. If GGG is hiding out then so was Hopkins, Ward, Canelo in their respective divisions.

I mean 1 time i get it, 2 times is your fault, 3 times is just unbelievable... he better prays for chavez to not make a competitive fight or else he will have to wait in line again, and even if canelo finishes chavez in 1 round ggg needs to accept whatever he is offered ..
It wasn't his fault. It was Oscar's fault. All Oscar had to do was to issue a statement saying that Canelo wasn't ready to fight at MW, and that they only fought Cotto because it was an opportunity they couldn't turn down. After the agreement with Sulaiman, it would still have been a BS move. Although it at least would have been honest.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Canelo-Chavez. We could even see a GG-Chavez fight.
