Lol @ the bold. So, you're using fiction and **** that hasn't happened as a way to justify his actions.
      Has he:

      1. Decided fighting against BJS to pursue a more lucrative fight with Canelo?

      2. P*ssied out because he's scared?

      3. Pulled out of negotiations because he wants more time to heal before having another 8 week camp?

Saying that someone has p*ssied out implies they are scared.

You don't even know what you're typing.

What is there to laugh at regarding the bit in bold? He has 4 of the 5 belts. He said he wanted all of the belts before anyone knew who he was. What's changed? Are you telling me that if he beat Canelo, he wouldn't go back and try and obtain the WBO belt? What is that opinion based on?

While I'm mostly in the same boat as you and think it's silly to pass up BJS for a chance at Canelo in September, there is one thing that would make sense if true - the first report from Frank Warren said that Golovkin is injured.

If that is true, everything that has happened so far makes sense - that he can't fight and thus is forced to pass on WBO fight with BJS for now.

Nobody except for Golovkin and his team knows for sure what's up. Asking NSB is absolutely pointless - it's just pure speculation depending on how you feel about the fighter. All the people who hate him will claim that it was all rhetoric, that he's just looking fora payday, etc., while all the fanboys will come up with 10 different reasons why it's smart to pass up on the BJS fight.

None of us knows the truth. Wait and see what happens and what kind of information comes out in the couple of months ahead.

I would love to see it.

I'm English and a big fan of Billy's.

He's a good fighter. He has a lot of ability. But he's not a true professional.

Had he enforced the mandatory they would have just dropped the belt as Canelo eventually did, and then there was no chance of a fight. By allowing the matches to take place he at least go a little cash.
Yep, he got paid. Nothing wrong with that but don't tell me he's any different than other fighters who would've did the same thing. The problem is making excuses to take tough challenges, and that excuse being wanting to unify the division when they know that wasn't the truth. He's a businessman like all other fighters. If he had to choose between Bjs to unify or Canelo, Froch, or Chavez Jr he would tell Bjs to kick rocks

I think we can say that about a number of his recent fights, all hypothetically made under the umbrella of the unification narrative.

for some reason I think the only thing preventing Golovkin from fighting BJS is a contract to fight Canelo.

Let's hope Oscar doesn't lie again.

It's not like BJS will fight him anyway. Besides, if GGG unifies none of the haters give him credit anyway. Say he fought bums. Can't win for losing.
