He's now having a break, and BJS has been ordered to fight Khurtsidze.

Do you seriously think if he beats Canelo, he won't go back for the winner of BJS-Khurtsidze?
No. The WBO president said they never even submitted the paperwork for the fight. The reason the Khurtsidze fight was called is because GGG called off the unification. In the WBO unification still trumps mandatory. If they wanted the fight they could've petitioned the WBO to hold off another month and they would've done it. They are in Warren's pocket and they would rather have the money of a Saunders-GGG fight than a Saunders Khurtsidze. All I'm asking is if he wants to unify why not delay it instead of cancelling it?

It would be the last piece of the puzzle.

Then you'll get your wish of him moving up to SMW before he retires.
Because they can't afford the fight. That last belt will come more expensive than Jacobs, as it should because it's a historic fight. K2 and Loeffler aren't about to put up money to put Khurtsidze on PPV against GGG and HBO isn't gonna pay for the fight.

You are correct, but out of all those you mention ggg is the only one screaming he is different... he is not...

I know. I've already had to discuss with a couple other posters how Ward is no different than the rest

I don't believe that Cotto would ever have fought him. But he couldn't block that fight. That's because Sulaiman had granted Cotto a voluntary defence after he'd beaten Sergio. GG was ringside for the Cotto-Geale fight.

Afterwards, Sulaiman wanted Cotto to fight Canelo, with the winner to fight GG. He tried to keep all parties happy, as he could be involved in 2 big fights instead of 1. But money had to change hands for that to happen. And that's what happened. From GG's perspective, there was no advantage in kicking up a fuss at the time, not when he thought he'd be involved in a huge fight down the line, especially if Canelo won.

By the way, i have no problem with fighters making the most money while they can, the career doesnt last long... i just didnt like ggg acusing others of being business man while doing exactly the same...
Thats some bs... same as canelo calling a fighter into the ring only to fight somebody else, thats also bs..

So he took the step aside money instead of the belt. Not criticizing him for taking the money but just showing that he wants money like all other fighters, not the belts. The belts are a nice addition but he's a businessman first and foremost despite what he says and his team says

I don't understand, what's the problem here? GGG has the belts, he was looking for the WBO but Saunders is not serious about that fight and neither is Warren. How does that fall on GGG? Unless you mean something else.

Saunders paid step aside fee and agreed to all terms, ggg is the one who lost the pen... they cant blame others for this fight not happening..
