    No.

GG hasn't agreed to fight anyone else on the proposed Expo date.

Oscar ditched phoning Loeffler, and lined up Liam Smith instead.

43 seconds in "Andre ward is too much for me"
      Gennady Golovkin

      You're welcome.
Personally, I think Andre would be too much for him. I've always thought that. But don't come on here and pretend that Andre was ready to fight and it was GG who ducked out.

      Look at the timelines etc.

GG was preparing to fight Lemieux and he was awaiting the outcome of the Canelo-Cotto winner. You'll see that at that stage, he cooled off with talk of fighting guys like Froch and Chavez.

Meanwhile, Andre hadn't fought at SMW in 2 years, and he'd hardly fought in 3 years. He was in no position to fight GG early in 2016. And in mid 2016, he issued a statement saying that he didn't think he'd be able to make the SMW limit again. Also, HBO wanted to build it. To my knowledge, Andre never denied that they both sat down with HBO to discuss a potential future fight.

      Again: The fight wasn't viable.

An interview in broken English doesn't alter any of the above.

We'll just have to hope that it can still be done at a C-W at some point in the near future.

        Which is it?

Is he waiting for a fight, or is he begging for a fight?

Why has Andre never denied that they had a meeting, or that he said he wasn't able to fight at the time?

All you have is an interview in broken English whilst he was preparing for another fight.

You guys pretend like Andre desperately wanted to fight him and was there ready. I'm a huge fan of Andre's, but that wasn't true. There were numerous obstacles that prevented it from happening. Andre supposedly wanted to fight him early last year, yet he issued 2 statements that said:

He didn't think he was able to make SMW.

In preparation for Kovalev, he said he needed 2 tune ups to get rid of the rust.

The above statements tell us that he was in no position to have had a big fight with GG at SMW early last year.

            OUCH!!!!
Yet they all had a meeting with HBO, and it was Andre who said he wasn't available?

Let's not pretend that Andre was available ready and willing to fight him. He wasn't.

Seriously, are you blind dude? I mean he's obviously not willing to just say ok canelo **** you, I'm not waiting, and then just move up and fight degale in England for good money? They likely could've made the Chavez fight, but I'm sure Loeffler messed that up.

The contract was sent, turned down in 30 minutes. The offer stated that each fighter would have 1 fight prior to the 2 meeting, so don't start that "he was already fighting peppy lepieu" crap because it obviously would've been plenty of time for each to have 1 fight at the weight. Stop making excuses.

                  Yep

I was very impressed with how it took Canelo rounds longer than Danny Garcia to get rid of tiny, chinny, mediocre Khan and the 7 rounds he needed for domestic level Smith were a thing of beauty.

Really looking forward to seeing him in with the ghost of top 30 LHW as it will be a huge test

What the hell are you talking about?

You're desperately trying to see things that aren't there.

Again: What are you talking about?

He was preparing for Lemieux, with a written agreement from Jose Sulaiman that the winner of the Cotto-Canelo fight had to fight him or lose their title.

Why on earth would anyone in that position have agreed to fight an elite SMW?

                      Think about it.

You are talking nonsense. And how could Andre have agreed to a fight in mid 2016, when he hadn't fought at SMW for ages, and he said he wasn't sure that he couldn't make the weight anymore? And why would they have sent him a contract in the first place, knowing that he was looking ahead to Lemieux?

                      The fight wasn't viable.
