Porter is horrendous to watch.

He headbutts, punches behind the head, holds and generally cheats in every fight. If he can't hold and push you to the ropes (see Brook fight) he is useless.

Over nobody. I'm going on eye test as I don't think anyone at 147 is clearly above the division. Bradley has the best resume but his best days are clearly behind him. Manny is fighting the Jeff horns of the world which would be an unacceptable fight even for Spence.

Now if Spence lays an egg versus Brook, I'll stand corrected.

Some see things in people before it materializes. The thing is he actually has to prove it the ring and I think he will. If I'm wrong, so be it.

I think Porter took a calculated risk to get this knockdown, observe how Shawn side steps to his right away from the right after slipping, ducking the jabs ; creating angles as he is lining-up Berto for the hook down the middle ( at the same damn time! ). When Porter positions himself Berto has to reset this is the time Shawn decides to confuse Berto, pumps a feint... he sees Berto put up a high-guard! in that moment he knows he has time to beat the cross and is not worried about the weak jab. Hes better balanced has read the defense knows Andre is confused by shelling up and took the chance.

Note: Shawn was fortunate that after missing the target in lunging in with a wild left hook Berto's weak jab actually makes contact ( twice ) creating enough distance/space keeping Porter out of the incoming right hands trajectory and just missed.

Just a little something for you guys that don't know about Porters skills, some of you call it dirty and have no clue.

Porter fights are always kind of messy. He's effective though. If he can bully you and get you up against the ropes, like Paulie and Berto, then he can hurt you.
Better guys like Brook and Thurman can avoid this though it appears.

Thurman - Porter was a good fight, but i don't feel Porter gets a win second time of asking.
I wouldn't mind seeing Thurman - Peterson, and Porter - Garcia. I think Porter gives Garcia a very tough time.
