Short Porter gives great effort every time in the ring. What great effort and drive Porter shows. I have to give credit to Porter for being a competitor and a warrior with courage and heart. Granted Berto lacks heart but Porter simply beat the hell out of Berto. Boxing needs kids like Porter and his dad. If Broner had a Daddy like Kenny Porter then Broner would be respected and admired and not laughed at and poked in fun. Broner got that parade float helium filled round 500lb Daddy who mooches and gives zero guidance to misguided Broner. The Porter's are just a role model of what a boxer should be like with his dad involved.

Porter's rough but I never understood why he gets this much hate. Did the SHO commentators play up intentional fouls? I thought it was ****** Jim Gray had Shawn apologize. I saw a boxnation/sky stream and I gotta say I didn't notice any intentional headbutts (but I'm aware I could be wrong cause my stream quality did kinda suck for this fight). I did notice Berto hitting behind the head. The same guys touting Andre Ward's "skills" (bull rushing) hate on Porter...**** makes no sense.

Anyway, these guys were generally evenly matched in height, reach, size - I thought it was a good stylistic match so props to PBC. Shawn does some great work on the inside and his gas tank is legit.

And another point on Jim Gray, I have to assume it's SHO being overly dramatic during the fight, but I don't see the point in speaking about retirement for Berto. He can still fight the Algieri's, Provodnikov's of the world. There are good, interesting fights out there for Berto. I guess my point is, it wasn't like Berto was shot and not throwing punches - it wasn't Gray's place to imply retirement. I'm pretty sure Max Kellerman did the same dumb **** with Bradley. Just ask, what's next?

I find it interesting that Porters FACE looked light chopped steak. Specifically around his eyes. You don't purposelly head butt with your face. What does that tell you? Berto is guilty of head butting as well. Whining sore loser. He got his ass soundly beat. Good. Great exciting fight! Good job Porter.

Garcia will employ a counter-and-clinch strategy. Unless Garcia can really stun Porter, it's gonna be hard to watch.

That was the most disgusting fight I've seen and the farthest one from being a boxing fight. If the other guy is allowed to dive in, jump on, crash you through with his head like that then you should be allowed to put a front push kick to his ***in head as he flies in with his head first.
Porter should've been fined, fined and DQ'ed. The ref really did suck. I liked Porter and favoured him but nah, that was not boxing, even Argentinians don't do that dirty.

Hopefully Berto stops getting these #1 contender matches. He should be fed to Spence or be a tune-up for Peterson. If he wasn't aligned with Haymon, I would have him be a step-up for Ponomarev.

Berto is the Chael Sonnen of boxing. Those two lose championship fights all the time and then get moved right back up to the top and put in ANOTHER Championship fight...smh.
