Agreed.American fighters....
The question is easily answered. Entertain the large group of people by knock outs and action and not just jab your way to victory. Show some dominance, show power and show how you impose your skill to your opponents with an intent of knocking you out or hurting the opponent instead of safely cruising a boring lack luster decision and many will love you.
A lot of people love Thurman and Porter with their exciting styles not just black or white people in general but others also like Asians.
Crawford lost some support with how he fought postol but did gain that loss because of the Molina fight where he knocked him out. People are attracted to action, this isnt racially motivated or anything and should not be viewed as.

You said it yourself. Boxing is in a slump. That's nothing to do with GGG, it's to do with other boxer's performance and lack of interest in the sport. Fact is if GGG was fighting in the 90s he'd be a superstar.Blah,Blah,Blah
The fact is boxing in general is in a slump.
Gennady Golovkin is everything you say people wanna see in a fighter yet nobody buys his fights. He isn't black or american. What's the excuse? Kovalev also fights the way you described and he has no real fan base. What's the excuse?Comment

I do find it's weird though that Spence isn't a bigger star than he is, I think the promotion just isn't good enough.
If a hard hitting, exciting fighter with a great pair of **** like him was fighting out of the UK then he'd already be a superstar like AJ, Hatton or Froch. His competition has been really good to boot.Comment

The majority picked ward to win over kov....That's because you're an unmitigated moron. It pertains to the fact on EVERY occasion Americans seem to take the foreign fighter over their own countrymen.
Here's a riddle. When is the last time an American fighter fought a foreigner and the majority of users on this site went for the American?
I'll give you all day.Comment

Well, firstly how do you know which site users are from the US? Surely the question you're asking should be whether the majority of US users went for the US fighter? Lot of us, maybe most, don't owe allegiance to the Ol' Stars and Stripes anyway man, so don't include us in no witch hunt. That's because you're an unmitigated moron. Secondly, the majority picked Ward over Kov and Crawford over Postol - in fact the majority vote usually gets in right on this site, so I ain't quite sure what you're getting at, cos that doesn't imply the bias you seem to suggest.
Sure the issue maybe ain't quite as big as you think it is? We all have perception biases man, maybe you oughta think this one through?Last edited by Citizen Koba; 04-22-2017, 01:43 PM.Comment

Fact is....
If GGift were fighting in the 90's he'd be selling Gypsy tears on the roadside to help pay his medical expenses.

Well it's a bad question, as I pointed out above, but two of the most significant fights of 2016 were US fighters against non US fighters. In both cases the majority of 'Scene (including all the non-US posters) picked the US fighter.
How about you provide some counter examples to add some substance to your case? I ain't saying you ain't on to something - US fans do appear to be less nationalistic (on average) than say, Mexicans or Puerto Ricans or Brits but maybe that's just an error in my own perception. How about some evidence here?Last edited by Citizen Koba; 04-22-2017, 01:50 PM.Comment
