nah, that was completely fair
only the IBF recognize that weighin, and on that particular day Jacobs refused to recognize the IBF
all of the WBA/WBA/WBO champs..... are they cheats for not recognizing the IBF weighin also?
and..... if all it took to beat Golovkin was a couple of pounds, then how the fk was he going to live with Andre Ward?
what about all that 168 talk ?
is that why he tried to drain Ward ?????

this is what Tim Bradley had to say 2.5 years ago.....
"If they ever fight, I've got Canelo winning that fight," stated Tim Bradley to ***************.com earlier this week. "I say Canelo because of his boxing ability. He can take a good punch and his I.Q. for the sport is very high. Canelo has a lot skills."
"We know what to expect from Triple G...'I'm going to mow you down...I'm coming to get you'...Gennady just comes to bring the pain. He's very composed with his brand of pressure, but Triple G is slow."
While many of Golovkin's most recent victims might disagree with Timothy's ringside assessment of the Kazakh monster, the knowledgeable prizefighter seems convinced that Canelo Alvarez would be able to see Triple G's shots coming and defend himself with proficiency.
"I didn't realize Gennady was that slow. I thought he would be quicker. When I was watching him fight this past weekend, it really surprised me that he looked really slow. Maybe he was just getting warmed up, but he appeared to be very slow."
"He was very intelligent in his approach, and you could see that he knew what he was doing. Gennady knows how to get in position to land those hard shots, but like I said, I have Canelo winning that fight. He has the experience...he's been in the ring with much better opposition and he has that big fight experience now."
"I also think Canelo would be able to take that power. He's a bigger guy. He's a bigger guy...no problem. I have Canelo winning that fight, no problem."

Canelo beat the 4 best junior middleweights CONSECUTIVELY, and one of those fights was explicitly against the wishes of his promoter
when has Golovkin EVER done anything like that ?
old achievements > no achievements
that is why I asked whether Golovkin fans should question other fighters resume's?

When you fight in that style you slow down a lot faster than boxers who are mobile. Plus hitting 35 now as well.
I find it really interesting that Golovkin has fought his whole career at 160. And even now at his age he has no trouble making the weight and is considered a small Middleweight, amazing.
Lemieux started his career at 154. And can barely make and struggles to make 160 now.
But let's see what happens. Hopefully the Golovkin-Canelo fight can finally be made.
stoppit willya, he is exactly the same as always
Jacobs made him look slow

I'm talking about in general from what my eyes have seen of Golovkin, not about what Jacobs did. And yes Jacobs fought an excellent fight, heck yeah he did. But yeah, you can have your opinion and I'll have mine. We can agree to disagree. No problem.Last edited by The Time; 04-20-2017, 03:50 PM.
