Listen, Golota is a child trapped in a man's body. Anyone who had the skills to reach Golota, and the punch to hurt him, beat him. The guy just doesn't have a hard bone in his body.

Johnson had the skill and the punching power to hurt him, and so he would beat him like all the others. A fairly obvious conclusion I think. Do you consider Michael Grant a better heavyweight than Johnson? Size is not that important that it would enable a quivering bundle of nerves like Golota to beat a cool headed counterpuncher like Johnson.

Jack Johnson didn't even know how to throw a combination, infact nobody did those days. His fighting style is amateurish.
Golota would destroy him because Jack is going to fight a real heavyweight unlike the middleweights and welterweights he usually fights.

Wow so there are some people in here who know there boxing besides myself.Exactly guy boxing in those days was amateurish at best.It wasn't until after Ali beat Liston did you see real 200 pound plus heavyweights fighting each other on a frequent basis.Golota would have nothing to be frustrated and quit about.Johnson wasn't a puncher even using small gloves against men smaller than Golota.Golota only quit once the fighter he was facing took his best and weren't stopped and then landed good punches in return.Johnson couldn't punch or take a punch.Golota would win with ease as the young man just posted.

tommyhearns804, first of all, who are you to be calling people idiots while having that "tyson is the greatest" crap.

second - jack couldn't throw a combination? have you ever seen one of his fights. maybe you've just seen the clips they have on tv.

on second thought, i'm not even going to comment further on such a childish opinion. good luck with getting respect from boxing fans.

actually, jack johnson did throw combinations. and he wasn't 190. he was about 208-212 in his prime. johnson had good strength and a good defense and it would be hard for golota to get through that. i'd say that johnson would break his spirits much like other fighters had.

i think you guys need to be realistic, Jack Johnson would not beat any decent heavyweight of today.
Boxing has evolved from the 1900's.....i don't understand why you guys just don't see the same way i do.
His fighting style was a joke, when he was in his boxing stance he looked like he was washing windows. Who the hell waves their hands around and around?
The guy also had awful balance, i remember when he knocked out Stanley Ketchel.....He was so amateurish that he literally fell over when he delivered the punch.
He only looked good (actually he always looked awful) when he fought guys who were small compared to him. Lets just put it this way, you don't see any heavyweight or infact any fighter box like him today.
And there is a reason for that, simply because it's not effective at all. Ive honestly seen amateur fighters look alot better than him, regarding techique.
I still can't believe these so called 'boxing historians' call Jack johnson the greatest defensive fighter of all time.
I think they should really learn how to box

Folks, this is the equivalent to a four year old not listening to his daddy and covering his ears and going, "LALALALALALALALALALALAAA! I'M NOT LISTINENING. LALALALALALALALALA. YOU CAN'T TEACH ME ANYTHING, I WON'T LET YOU!!! LALALALALALALALALALALALA. I'LL BE ****** AND IGNORANT OF THE FACTS AS LONG AS I WANT TO...YOU CAN'T MAKE ME LEARN! LALALALALALALALALA!"

Another point of reference is Golom in the "Lord of the Ring" series as he argues with himself.

See **** ignore, hear **** spout obsenities instead of logic and intelligence, see **** be laughed at by all his peers.

                  Don't be a ****.
