i think that this stuff is crazy. u see the undercard to Juarez vs Barrera? same exact thing. "German guy" got nailed with a with a bodyshot that seemed kinda light. It nailed a perfect spot. If u watch the fight again, there is a slight delay before u see the pain kick in. German guy raises his hand and takes a knee.

Same thing happened to de la hoya. You see a hard left hook skim that same spot of De La Hoyas body, theres a slight delay, and then the pain takes over. He hits the floor completely silent. Afterward, he starts slamming the ground with his gloves.

And DLH has put in half a year into trying to wipe out the embarrasment of that fight. Why would he do that if he took at dive to save him some pain? DLH is not that kind of fighter. He stick to it till the end.

Yeah I feel alot of you guys that say it could have been a dive, but hey didn't someone get knocked out on the undercard of the Barrera fight in the first round by a body shot, a very hard shot but i didn't think he'd stay down. Now IMO I dont think he threw the fight & here's why, if you ever get a physical exam and they check or sonogram your liver or kidneys, they do it from your back because your Liver and kidneys are closer to your back and that's where the shot landed, if he'd been pounded alittle harder or for a few more rounds then It would be more suspect. DLH showed alot of heart in that fight, and in my opinion he din't look like he was ready to quit, he was in real pain on the canvass, and once it passed it was too late to keep on, but not too late to hit the canvass and scream "****", but that's just my opinion.

OK Dynamite, riddle me this. You've been hit on the liver and you couldn't breathe, right? You couldn't breathe, but were you able to scream in pain?

Exactly bro, DLH took more punishment from Sturm and did not quit. DLH is a warrior and he did not take a dive. Perfect shot and if DLH could have gotten up , he would have.

That is excatly my point. Oscar didn't freeze ! He was pounding the canvas and screaming. I have been hit there and Oscar's reaction was different. Watching the fight again you can see that the punch didn't even land solidly.

At the end of the day, I will still maintain that anyone who is aired out on a body shot cannot yell and scream while writhing in pain. Name one other fighter who was KO'ed by a body shot and reacted the same way?

i dont think he screams right away. he kinda falls, opens his mouth like u do when u get hit by a body shot, but nothing coems out.

Then he hits the floor and starts screaming. Hes a trained professional, and one of the best at that. He can recover from big punches like that. Half the pain probably went away, but the other half was still there and was enough to keep him down.
