Why do so many pro fighters lack quality basic fundamentals?????

    It is not easy, is not like playing videogames. You have to be a master of your mind to stay focused and aware when somebody is trowing punches and hitting heavy on your face. Your brain goes in freeze mode, automatically.

    You can't imagine till you find yourself in that situation.It's a strange feeling and you don't get used despite the training.


    I never said it was easy. Did I? That said being a PROFESSIONAL boxer takes/should take a large amount of time to hone your craft.........i assume these guys are just focusing on a few aspects of their game and not focusing on becoming a complete fighter.

    Also how hard is it to use lateral movement against another fighter when he is constatly hitting you? Just get to moving....mayweather said the key after punching is to either use lateral movement or at least upper body movement but you should never be still/stuck in a position there to be hit......not sure what's so hard to not understand about that....

      Its more likely that boxing has become a who you know not what you know sport. It used to be skills pay the bills...now its social media status.
