It's not that they're Americans, these judges are typically biased towards the sweet science guy. They have to show they know something about boxing. Kovalev is seen as just a brawler, thus have to KO his sweet science opponent to win. What's annoying is they can't rule draws. They always have to show they know somethin.

you made a lot of money here kovalev so just shut your mouth and get robbed again. they will appoint neutral judges....hmm yeah like the first fight in which all the judges gave the 10th to ward which is impossible.

What I find more concerning from Kovalev as he hasn't at any point accepted the defeat or and personal accountability as to why he lost. Although he admittedly was tired after the 5th round, he has pointed fingers at everyone but himself for coming up short in the biggest fight of his career. That's a character flaw that will likely show up again in the rematch.

How did you like the judging on the first Bradley/Pacquiao fight?
He absolutely loved the judging from that first fight. He was able to get two more Bradley-Pacquiao fights because of it....

I disagree when you've worked as hard for something and you get three American judges scoring it all the same way when nearly everyone watching the fight and the analyst of the sport also see it the same way, it definitely brings up some doubt.

Don't see the big deal, I would definitely suggest that there aren't three judges who are all from America for the rematch, one from Russia, one from the USA, and one from a European country.
However, I don't mind the idea of not having the USA or Russian judge scoring the fight, but corruption can happen regardless of where you're from, anyone can take a handful of cash to do something bad.

I disagree full heartedly that Ward is seen as a sweet science guy, he definitely doesn't display that ring IQ.
Rigo and Lomachenko are considerably better and they don't break the rules of the sport to accommodate the way they fight, I personally also believe If you see Ward as a sweet science guy you will obviously see Golovkin in that same picture as well because he does things much more cuter and tidier than Ward.

arum probably will just get uk judges since most uk boxing experts had ward winning. No issue in neutral judges at all just get good judges.
