1) Ward will duck Kovalev in the first fight
2) Kovalev will KTFO Ward in the first fight
3) Ward will duck the rematch
4) Kovalev will KTFO Ward in the rematch

Albeit, there have been some horrendous scoring lately and there will always be the occasional robbery but for the most part, judges do their best when scoring tactical boxing matches. With that being said, Ward won the first fight simply because he landed the cleaner punches and landed them more frequently. Kovalev did land the big right hand in the second and scored the knock down but after that he didn't do a whole lot after that round to sway the judges in his favor. Yes he did seem like the aggressor but he wasn't landing anything of significance. Just because you chase a guy around the ring doesn't necessarily give you the advantage, what it might indicate is that the aggressor doesn't have the proper footwork to cut the ring off and make the opponent engage in battle. The name of the game is Hit and don't be hit. It's not rocket science people.
