Well at the time he was a well regarded prospect. But he fizzled out. When GGG beat his arse he went from prospect to suspect. When he lost two of his following three fights, one to another "prospect" and the other to the barely "has-been" Sergio Mora, he went from being a suspect to no one of note. Championing him now would be like someone pumping up a victory over Giovanni Lorenzo. Anyone who pumps up the Proksa victory as anything more than a victory over a one time prospect is jerking your prick without washing their hands first.
I'm still pretty sure you're exaggerating though.
See, **** like this is why the Lil G fan base is a laughingstock around here.Comment

That's why GGG's haters are a laughingstock around here. Because they are consistently reading something into things that aren't there because its much easier than actually trying to understand what they are reading.Last edited by yankees7448; 05-01-2017, 06:52 AM.Comment

No that isn't what I was saying at all. Proska was a prospect. People are considered prospects when they have skill and talent but have not proven themselves in the big leagues. Proska stepped up when he faced GGG and was exposed. Subsequent fights showed he wasn't going to amount to much. So he's a failed prospect. Prospects fail all the time and that's why they are referred to as prospects and not as sure things. Its a good win for Mora because lord knows the guy hasn't done much of anything at middleweight. I mean outside of dropping Danny Jacobs once what has he really done at 160 that is of note. While its a good win for someone as unaccomplished at 160 as Mora isn't not really a significant win in the grand scheme of things for GGG.

It's just the truth. No amount of spinning, verbal acrobatics, or tap dancing around it is going to change the facts.Comment

That's your truth and its clear to me that I have no reason to trust your perception of things.Comment

Here is a sampling of some people bringing up Proksa to defend Lil G's resume:
Golovkin has fought and beat more top 10 middleweights than anyone else in the division? Golovkin beat top ten middleweights in: Murray, Geale, Lemieux, Macklin, Stevens, Rubio & Proksa, and outside of that some top 15 guys sprinkled in like Willie Monroe Jr and a few others.Golovkin, it is not just who you beat but also the manner of victory. As quality opponents Rubio, Zbik, Lee is pretty much comparable to Macklin, Proksa, Stevens, Rosado, Adama but Golovkin lost at most 2 rounds in those 5 fights whereas Chavez's fights were a lot more competitive. Indeed the Zbik decision could easily have went Zbik's way, Chavez lost at least a few rounds against Rubio and was losing to Lee before he stopped him. The idea that Chavez's resume is better than Golovkin's does not withstand reason.Comment
