Beating a P4P fighter from the past does not eliminate it from a boxer's resume because it's 'been too long'. It's not Rigondeaux's fault that he was ducked by other P4P fighters like Frampton and LSC.
Terence Crawford has been Ring champion in both weight classes he's been in, that's enough to make him P4P. And P4P lists aren't made when you beat a fellow P4P fighter, that makes no sense. P4P lists consists of fighters of different weight classes, multiple fighters of the same weight class being in it is rare.
Mayweather, Pacquiao, Marquez, and Bradley was the most fighters from the same weight class that there's ever been in the P4P list at once in this era, followed by Mayweather, Pacquiao and Mosley in late 2009 - early 2010. But this was really rare and just a product of a robust WW division that had ATG's and HOF'ers littered all over.
Crawford being 'the man to beat' in two different weight classes gives him a lot of merit of being top 5 P4P. Crawford blew up just 3 years ago when he was introduced as #10 in The Ring's 135lb ranks in the end of 2013. Getting two different Ring belts in like 3 years is amazing. And he beat Postol in his 2nd weight class, a guy who had a group of haters who were accusing him of ducking.
