That still doesn't change the fact that Loma shouldn't be compared to Floyd or Pernell (or any other ATG) at this point.

It is just as foolish as arguing that Mayweather and Whitaker were as great amateurs as Loma.

They weren't. Loma is the best amateur ever most likely.

It is absurd to compare amateur careers.

Just as it is idiocy to compare them as pros right now.
Of course he shouldn't, he's like 9 fights into his career and they're comparing him to Willie Pep and Floyd Mayweather lol. HBO is the best at blowing their guys during the telecast for sure, it's utterly ridiculous.

It's all in how you look at it. Mayweather went 24-0 in that stretch which certainly looks better than 8-1. He also defended a title five times while Loma only defended his first title three times.

However, Loma has won titles in two divisions, beaten GRJ and Walters and also went balls to the wall with Salido and many felt like he won that fight. So, in world title fights, he's 7-1. Mayweather at the time was 6-0 in world title fights. He had Genaro Hernandez and Manfredy on the ledger. It's close, but I give the edge to Loma and even if you don't, a win over Berchelt or Mikey clearly puts him ahead. But of course, he has to get it done first.

Ha. Well what for? That makes no damn sense. Loma didn't turn pro until 25. You can't compare that with a guy who'd been fighting for six more years. This is ridiculous.

well you comparing a 25 year old to a 19 year old is beyond laughable and he really still did more from 19-23

Haha. Larry, you'd say he did more than anybody in four years, no matter what they did.

Mayweather in his first 10 fights fought nothing but a bunch of tomato cans with losing records. Lomachenko would beat mayweather with 10 fights.

You don't compare age. You compare experience.
