At 29, Mayweather was a 4 division world champion and 3 division lineal champion. He had beaten Genaro Hernandez, Diego Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo 2x, Arturo Gatti, and Zab Judah. He was also one of the most exciting fighters in the sport from 130 through 140.
Loma is scary good, better than Floyd

People keep saying this. Loma started much later than Floyd, he'd have similar accomplishments if he'd started that early.
He refined his skill in the amateurs, took less damage, and it's looking like it paid off.Comment

He's got some real momentum. There are a few guys at 130 but 135 looks better. I think he can be fine there, but 140 I don't know about. I like the idea of unification but given that he's 29, time is not on his side really. I think that's why he wants all the fights now.Absolutely. I'm not going to pretend that Sosa was a valuable win but still, Walters, Martinez, Russel, these add up. If he keeps going after it and STAYS BUSY, he'll do great thing. The nightmare would be if he ends up in a Rigo situation; no fights, garbage fights, etc.
The "if we can't get the fights at 130, we're going to 135" statement is very exciting. I don't want to see him size disadvantaged but if he can go up and still kill it, that is legacy making stuff. Like Pacquiao. He was never really a welter but he was killing some of the best welters for years.Comment

Gifted Fighter, I'm a Huge fan but you only make YOURSELF looks ****** when you're quick to try and put Loma over Mayweather already. Calm down with your Man Crush, I know you would let Loma impregnate you if it was possible but he has a long day way to go to reach GREATNESS but he is certainly on his wayComment

LOL, you're a true idiot and a disgrace to all real boxing fans out there.Comment

For people stuck on this ******, "Loma fought Salido in his 2nd while Floyd was fighting guys with losing records" idiocy, why not look at the fact that they were both boxing since they were kids and they both started fighting top competition in their late 20's?? Because Loma hung out in the amateurs way longer, he gets special credit somehow??
Let that argument go, it's not convincing anyone.Comment

No he wouldnt. Lomachenko was a featherweight all the way back in 2007. The same division he turned pro in over 6 years later.Comment

Loma is excellent and probably special. It's rare he loses a single round let alone a fight. The ref is the Salida fight was DOGS @SS. He influenced that fight, but sure Loma lost.
Don't know if he's as good or better than Floyd, but Loma is Really FU.CKING goodComment
