Jeff is pretty to the point. He probably heard this through floyds people and is just saying what he heard. May or may not be true but I wouldnt be surprised if Dana started with 80/20 to connor because he never wanted this fight to begin with and we know UFC's base splits are a lot higher than boxing promoters splits.

So if 50% or 40% are the normal fees for example, then why wouldnt Dana start an initial offer out at 80% for a fight he wants to block from happening?

Dana is enraged that this talk is happening in public, because he rips his fighters off big time. We have all see his fighters purses compared to boxers and how much he takes when you also compare the PPV buys ect. Hes got a virtual monopoly on MMA where as boxers have atleast a few promoters who are competing. basic economics.

That's literally exactly what they do. They agree on a certain number of fights for a certain price.

They don't "make" them wear reebok, they sign a bonus deal with reebok which is beneficial to 99% of all UFC fighters. Fighters like Mcgregor or GSP are either getting a helluva lot more (again, something they've signed) or have a different brand like under armour.

And they do all kinds of shady chit on top of that, even in boxing. Arum for example is known for putting in contract extensions in every single fight. So the guys are tied to him forever, otherwise he wont give them a fight. Pac, JCC jr, bradley ect all had this come up.

No one is taking this fight seriously. It's a money grab/ entertainment fight-that's been established.
