Most of the guys on here were not even old enough to remember it... i do and i won money on it and another false statement was leonard refused to give hagler a rematch..even before the fight leonard said it was just 1 fight and that was that....but it was only a year after the fight and leonard offered him a revenge fight so again that disproves leonard refused to give hagler a rematch.....leonard might be an a$$hole but his abilty is pretty much unrivalled
i believe srl retired thus breaking a rematch clause in the original contract..

        Boston globe scored 117-111 leonard
New york daily news scored 117-111 leonard
Jeff ryan KO magazine scored it 118-111 leonard
Out of the 25 media score cards leonard won 13 , Hagler won 6 and 6 scored it a draw.

I get it your a hagler fan and i respect that but leonard used his superior speed and inteligence to outbox hagler

He got clearly beat by a shot Hearns the second time.

He got gifted the Hagler fight.

            So much for his ability...
Gtfoh dumbo.....leonard almost knocked hearns out in the 6th 7th and 8th rounds of there first fight.....leonard stood toe to toe with duran the first fight and lost by a round or so and thats against one of the best infighters in history....know your knowledge dumbo....the rematch leonard moved and stayed off the ropes ....there is no shame in losing a Cllose decision to the greatest lightweight of all time and thats fighting his fight as well....the rematch with hearns leonard admits that hearns deserved that fight but they were a shadow of there welterweight days...leonard done all the damage in the fisrt fight so take your head out your ass and sit down and watch that fight again son...emanuel steward even said it was the body shot that leoanrd landed in the 6th round that ruined hearns....know your knowledge gumbo

Yes i understand that but what im saying is jo joe guerra gets a lot of stick for his 118-110 score card and i was giving example that other media reporters did give simlar cards....i thinks its more 115-112 or at best 115-113 for leonard...i think leonard ...you think hagler ...its a forum fellla and we have different views on the fight
