Why is Khan still seen as such a good fighter?

oscar had an iron chin and was only stopped by pacquiao when he was done, and by hopkins, a huge middleweight who would later fight at LHW.
he fought better fighters than khan and in a better era than khan, including floyd in his prime, mosley in his prime, fernando vargas, pacquiao in his prime, whitaker when he was past it but still a top fighter, was jobbed against trinidad, ike quartey, etc. oscar de la hoya is a first ballot hall of famer based on his resume. and also his ability. he was a heck of a boxer with an outstanding chin and left hook.
khan's best wins are limited maidana, never was devon alexander, past it zab judah. got knockout losses to garcia, canelo, and a one round loss to bredis freaking prescott. their careers are not much alike other than to say that they both benefitted from marketing and had a lot of backing from the networks. oscar backed his **** up, man. that guy could ****ing fight. amir was a front runner. if you could handle his speed he could be not only beaten, but beat up and knocked out.

Khan's kept his name in the media which I think people associate with being good. His feuds with Brook and publicly clamoring for a Floyd fight combined with fighting low risk moderate reward fights kept him at least above water.
Personally I think he's been coasting off his 140 days
