Why is Khan still seen as such a good fighter?

I guess the way he dominates top fighters, Maidana, Alexander, and Collazo. But he'll never be an A+ fighter, guys like Cotto, Canelo, Bradley, Garcia, Lara and Thurman can't possibly be dominated, but Khan was completely out classed by Canelo, Idk how anyone scored the fight with Khan being up, he only won rounds 1 and 2, Canelo was destroying with him body shots and setting up the KO shot from rounds 3-6

Khan gets beat the **** up by anyone who has a decent punch. He is selling his china chin for money at this point.

          Because Floyd ducked him.

This may be the only true answer right here. Im not saying floyd ducked him...but he certainly held khans name in his mouth long enough to keep khan in the spotlight. I think floyd actually used khans name as a distraction to delay the manny fight for so long that khan kinda seemed to everyone like the 3rd player in the game when in reality he was never going to secure either floyd or manny at any point in his career.

Khan is like Judah in that he's got a ton of talent, has been in there with a lot of great names, but has a big weakness. For Zab, it was his mind. For Khan, it's just a tad south, in the chin area.

Though he's annoying as hell, I think Khan is still very relevant and has the potentially to trouble, or even beat anyone in his weight class.

I dont understand it either. Khan loses all his big fights. His game has so many flaws and he doesnt really correct them.
He has really good attributes for boxing. top level speed for single and combination punches coupled with his reach and height is a very tough to beat combo.

But at the same time, he has a ridiculous bad chin, his flurries dont serve a purpose, he just throws them. After a couple rounds he gets easily timed, because he does the same thing over and over. Cant fight on the inside and retreats in straight lines.

With the exception of Maidana, most of his good wins are against tailor made guys, who cant deal with speed.

When you have fast hands like Zab Judah, for some reason people think you can win any fight.

Me and you both on this one Larry...

EVEN before he got starched by Canelo, his most worthy opponent was Devon Alexander in 2014, who has been irrelevant since like 2010.

He has pretty much been battered on by every legit opponent he's ever faced. Even in the fights he won (Diaz fight and Maidana fight), he got battered around and barely pulled it off.

I'm guessing what keeps his name relevant, and constantly at the top of the "big fight opponent" list, is two-fold:

1.) His appeal to a niche, but VERY sizable community of ******s internationally, British, AND American. So there's always gonna be a lot of eyes on his fights. He's established in both America, and UK, and his ****** appeal all around the world.

2.) His style. You can't hate him for always giving it his all, and never backing down or shying away. His fast hands, and fast combinations he reels off, which also makes him vulnerable two two-way exchanges, makes him a very exciting fighter to watch.
