I'm racist though so typically a non-white fighter has to score at minimum multiple knockdowns in a round for me to even consider giving him that round on my scorecard, and even then I usually just score the round a draw.Comment

I had it 115 to 112 for KOvalev. KOvalev was the champ, scored a knockdown, and landed the cleaner more effective punches throughout the fight. You already know I'm not bias against black boxers either. There was a few rounds I could see swinging for people but it was a clear victory to me for KOvalev. His tank was running out toward the end of the fight and imo that effected him more than Ward adapting(yes the body shots contributed to his tank running out). This rematch should be interesting and a good fight.Comment

I've scored it several times and always get 115-112 Kovalev.
I'll post the exact rounds later, but I know I had Kovalev winning 5 of the first 6 rounds, plus a knockdown.Comment

As I recall it, I had it for Kovalev when he won round 10. After that it was impossible for Ward to win without KD's.
I had it a close fight, so don't really have a problem with the decision per se.
BUT:
How the hell the judges scored round 10 for Ward is the biggest travesty for me. That one doesn't sit good with me at all.Comment

It's not really a close fight though if one guy is down so much even winning the last 2 rounds doesn't change much and a KO is needed. Kov won his rounds easily and clearly. As I recall it, I had it for Kovalev when he won round 10. After that it was impossible for Ward to win without KD's.

Ward won the rounds in which KOv didn't work as much and was better in the middle than the start but like you said, he never did enough to win.
It was a bad decision, plain and simple and we should call it as such.Comment

Ward is not even the more marketable fighter. Had Kovalev won, he would be a bigger draw easily. I had Ward winning by 1 point. But I have no problem with people giving it to Kovalev. As I recall it, I had it for Kovalev when he won round 10. After that it was impossible for Ward to win without KD's.

I think some of the judges might have felt a bit like I felt. I really don't like Ward, after what he did to Mikkel, but in this particular fight, around round 5-6 I thought it was damn incredible, how Ward was able to claw his way back in the fight. I must say that he gained some respect in my book, and the story about him coming off a big KD to pull the fight back in his favor, was kinda beautiful. Might have influenced the judges or there might be something sticking under.Comment
