I thought it was the correct decision. Very rare to see a decision that I can agree completely with. It's all about perspective. It's not really a close fight though if one guy is down so much even winning the last 2 rounds doesn't change much and a KO is needed. Kov won his rounds easily and clearly.
Ward won the rounds in which KOv didn't work as much and was better in the middle than the start but like you said, he never did enough to win.
It was a bad decision, plain and simple and we should call it as such.Comment

but with the KD and the consensus dominance of KOv eraly on pretty muc hevery scorecard, for Ward to win he had to have won every one of the final 6 rounds. Every damn one and that's just to overturn the KO deficit.
Ward at no point came close to doing that.Comment

See, I don't like these types of excuses. "Perspective" is bs for "well I scored the fight wrong but whatever, no one can tell me I was wrong".
The thing is, all thsoe who scored the fight for Ward said it was "close" yet they gave 5 or all 6 of the final 6 rounds to Ward. That's not a close fight. Thats complete domination of the latter rounds and a round or 2 early.
So your own logic doesn't work here.Comment

The point here was that there could be made a case (strong or not) for Ward winning at least one of the first 6 rounds.Comment

And you completely misunderstood what I said - All I said is, that it was a close fight that could've gone either way - And Ward is probably the boxer I dislike the most, so no bias here, Kovalev is one of my favourite fighters, but in boxing I am objectivity itself. (Unless it's Froch fighting.)Comment

I had it 114-113 for Ward, but I can really understand the decision going for Kova.(I was supporting Kova in that fight)Comment
