I think we are in agreement that there are far worse or less entertaining fights that could be made. If nothing else, Kamegai is tough and comes forward putting on pressure, throwing punches. It takes a lot to make a Kamegai fight boring. If they make the fight, I would watch and would Have no issues with the matchup.
I agree, I don't have any issues with this fight either considering the circumstances. If what you say is true well then you've peaked my interest a little bit more to see how it turns out. I agree, when was the last time you saw a boring Cotto fight and when was the last time you saw Kamegai in a boring fight. They need to finalize an opponent already though, June is only 2 months away.Last edited by The Time; 04-05-2017, 09:52 PM.

Cotto fought Pacquiao, Mayorga, Margacheato again, Mayweather, Trout, Martinez and Canelo after the first Margacheato fight. Ummm....5 of these guys are not light punchers and 5 of them are not one dimensional.
Pacquiao fought Bradley, Mayweather and then Bradley again (even though no one wanted to see them fight again) I will concede the light punchers for Pacquiao, but these two fighters are not one dimensional.

after pac was blown out in the 4th fight, no fighter gave him an issue or punched hard to back him off, after the 4th fight there was not ONE fighter, other the money may, that pac was not supposed to look good against.

First off I've been following boxing religiously and astutely since 1999. I know my ****, trust.
You said "specifically" that after the Margacheato fight, Cotto fought light punchers and one dimensional fighters. I commented to what you said based solely on that. The quality of fighter is not what I am debating or the quality of the wins. But if you want to go there, I can go there too.
The hard punchers he fought are: Pacquiao, Mayorga, Margacheato, Martinez and Canelo. Are these guys light punchers. No
The fighters that he fought after Margacheato that are not one dimensional are:
Pacquiao, Mayweather, Trout and Canelo. Are these guys looked at as one dimensional, no. (Martinez is normally not looked at as one dimensional but since he wasn't 100% he may be categorized as one dimensional in this case) No one knew this before the fight.
Are you going to hold Mayweather and Pacquiao to the same standards as Cotto as far as Martinez is concerned. We can say Mayweather and Pacquiao avoided Martinez. Martinez wanted to fight Mayweather, Pacquiao and Cotto and made it publicly known. Called Mayweather out and Pacquiao. Mayweather could have fought him at 154. Martinez said he would go down in weight, **** he even said he would go to 150, remember that. And even when Cotto and Martinez made their fight. Did Floyd reach out to Martinez to fight for the Lineal and WBC Middleweight Title before Cotto reached out to him? No he didn't. Martinez would have fought at a catchweight of 155 or something for Floyd to defend his Middleweight title. So May and Pac didn't challenge him. This is when nobody knew that Martinez wasn't 100% and everybody said Martinez was going to knock Cotto out. Right. Mayweather didn't fight him, Pac didn't fight him. But Cotto stepped up to the challenge and fought him. Before anyone knew he wasn't 100%, because everyone said Cotto was getting knocked out. Point is Cotto was the only one of those 3 to step up to the challenge, only him.
Nobody put a gun to Martinez head and told him to fight Cotto if he wasn't 100%. That's his bad. I admit Martinez was not 100% but he's not considered a light puncher is he. Margacheato bad eye or not, is not a light puncher is he. What does Margacheato's eye have to do with his punch. His eye wasn't closed when the fight started, he could see and he was able to punch. Point is he's not a light puncher. Pac on roids, who knows. Is he a light puncher or is he considered a light puncher. Roids or no roids. No he is not considered a light puncher.
Mayorga regardless of where he was ranked at the time when they fought, is he considered a light puncher, no
This was what you said yes, that Cotto fought light punchers and one dimensional fighters after the first Margacheato fight.
And whether Canelo had easy fights to make him look good. Trout was a tough fight, Trout was not an easy opponent, but Canelo dropped Trout didn't he. Had him do a Bambi dance. Lara was not an easy opponent. With that being said yeah the majority of Canelo's opponents are set up for him to look good so far, I see and admit that. But Trout and Lara weren't easy opponents. Point is Canelo doesn't punch light does he. No
As far as Pac is concerned I told you yes he had fought light punchers since JMM knocked him out, Bradley, Algieri, Mayweather, Vargas yeah they are light punchers.
Mayweather and Bradley are not one dimensional though are they, right, exactly.
Please learn to read or better yet comprehend what I posted. I commented on what you said about light punchers and certain fighters being one dimensional. If you actually thought about which fighters I was talking about then maybe you would have had a bright light in your head moment. Instead the lights are dim up there. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out which fighters are not light punchers and not one dimensional.
Now what did you say about schooling? You're welcome, I'm glad to have taught you and provide you with knowledge for the future.
Go to bed boy, get some sleep for your brain to function better tomorrow, hopefully.Last edited by The Time; 04-06-2017, 02:54 AM.
