Well he's 36 years old, coming off a 19 month layoff and loss.

Keep in mind Kamegai fought Guerrero and gave him a tougher fight than Berto when Berto got dropped and beat up by Guerrero. Soto Karass knocked Berto out, Kamegai knocked Soto Karass out.

If it was Cotto vs Berto, would people have a problem with it?

But a guy in Kamegai who had better success against those common two opponents gets criticized as an opponent.

It's a showcase tune up fight for Cotto since he's coming off a 19 month layoff. It's free on HBO. I'm good with it.
