Avenged the Margarito loss after Pacquiao did Cotto's dirty work by smashing Margarito's ortibal bone and don't forget, Cotto fought Margarito after repeatedly insisting "I'll never let him make money off my name" so he was talking shyt there

And now we've had Cotto wanting to fight Brandon ****ing Rios, extremely old and dodgy knee Marquez, war torn Bradley, James Kirkland and now Yoshihiro Kamegai

Near enough every time Cotto's fought a healthy fighter, he's lost. Near enough every time Cotto stepped up, he lost. You Cotto fans claim the Margarito fight ruined him for Tony cheated yet you celebrate the Jennings and Martinez wins which came AFTER the Tony loss so which is it - was Cotto ruined by Margarito that night which affected him after and explains why he lost every time he stepped up or will Margarito be given credit for beating Cotto who was then good enough then beat Jennings and Martinez for titles afterwards? He's one of the best boxers of YOUR time but not mine. He's a good fighter, nothing special and certainly not one of the best of this era.

It will be on regular HBO, not PPV. Lol, and you think Kamegai will last 12 rounds with Cotto? Lol, no way Kamegai will make it to see the 12th round. Kamegai has a lot of heart and guts and he's a come forward brawler type, defense is lacking. Cotto will batter him. It should be somewhat entertaining for what it is and the styles of both fighters. I guess with limited time to strike a deal for a top opponent, they need to sign somebody, so Kamegai it is.

Kamegai is pretty damn tough and it depends on what Cotto comes to the fight. I should amend my previous statement; I could see scenarios where the fight may not good my the distance, maybe more on ref or corner stoppage but I think it would take a lot to kayo Kamegai or render him completely helpless.

I think we are in agreement that there are far worse or less entertaining fights that could be made. If nothing else, Kamegai is tough and comes forward putting on pressure, throwing punches. It takes a lot to make a Kamegai fight boring. If they make the fight, I would watch and would Have no issues with the matchup.

I'll bet Tim Bradley will take the fight any where from 147 to 154lbs.

Why can't Cotto pick a man with a reputation for taking on top tier contenders and champions. Why go out fighting guys who no one will ever remember?

Huh? Cotto and Pac fought light punchers and one dimensional fighters after the Margacheato and JMM losses? What are you talking about?

Cotto fought Pacquiao, Mayorga, Margacheato again, Mayweather, Trout, Martinez and Canelo after the first Margacheato fight. Ummm....5 of these guys are not light punchers and 5 of them are not one dimensional.

Pacquiao fought Bradley, Mayweather and then Bradley again (even though no one wanted to see them fight again) I will concede the light punchers for Pacquiao, but these two fighters are not one dimensional.
