by demanding that scoring criteria, the WBA are not only defining the kind of fighter they want as champion - which is WRONG - they are also defining what style they want - which is ABSURD

technique - ummm, YES..... but I would like that clarified further..... they had better not be referring to style in any way

sportsmanship - NO, wtf? did he win the fight according to the rules of engagement or not? if he did not break the rules in any way, then STFU

skillful and intelligent defense of the boxer - we covered that already

aggressiveness - NO, wtf? this is a boxing match, surely we have matured as an audience to the extent where we have migrated away from that silly 1970's TV-friendly inspired "score for the guy going forward" dribble? surely not?..... did he win the fkn fight or not? thats right, lets score for the guy who has the best mean-face

ability - might be being picky here, but 'ability' is better judging criteria then 'technique'..... as it completely eradicates the possibility that a judge could score for the fighter who has a 'preferable' style

courage - WTF? they are ALL brave, how on earth will a judge assess that factor, by scoring for the guy who abandons his defence in the last round out of sheer desperation born from being 5 rounds down on the cards..... or because one guy has slightly better punch resistance and can manage to get to his feet quicker? not sure what that dribble means, will they give they guy an extra point for soldiering on despite being outclassed? did the guy win the fkn fight or not?
