Boy I really underestimated how injured Sergio was. On paper Sergio was taller, bigger, arms were longer and probably faster than Cotto. I'm still a little salty over that fight.

These two are two of my worst predictions.

To be fair, wasn't Pavlik suffering from a really bad illness in the weeks leading up to the Hopkins fight? (Still trying to make myself feel better about my prediction )

Idk that I officially made a prediction, but I remember as a kid thinking of not going to my dads for the weekend, he lived out in the country & didn't have cable + no internet back then, to watch the Tyson vs Douglas fight at my moms. I was supremely confident Tyson would KO Douglas in a couple rounds like he almost always did doe & was shook as f#ck when I heard them talking about the upset on CNN at a aunts house the night of the fight.

No boxer losing will ever came or could come as much of a shock to me like Tyson's first L did. I was new to boxing so had unrealistic expectations of a boxers unbeatability + Tyson had that nearly mythical power & rep of destruction. Those two facts won't cross paths again for me.

I picked Corrales to KO Floyd......

Yea same. Idr if I predicted a KO, but I picked Diego. That Emanuel Augustus performance had me doubting Floyd's chances vs his best opponent at the time.
