Still don't see how Floyd "took the easier path." Especially coming from a GGG fanboy. Baldomir was not only the WBC champ, he was the lineal champ. Baldomir's title lineage was a helluva lot more credible than Margarito's. Still don't see how a guy is criticized for going after the real champ in the division.

Baldo was way more popular at the time. Made the cover of Ring Magazine (BO before oscar). Cheat was a nobody coming off a loss 2 fights ealier at that time. I don't blame Oscar at all. If I were Oscar there is no way that I ever let Canelo in the ring with GGG. Golovkin will take a beating if he has to but he will kill that kid and maybe in a way that Canelo isn't the same fighter afterwards. As long as he can make 154 I'd keep him there until Golovkin is gone.

The facts are that he vacated BECAUSE gstring forced a moronic purse bid w ultimatum of 55-45 or 40% flat to avoid it, w 10 day deadline. Thats proven to be bs,ggg himself has just this month gone on mexican tv & said the 15 mil offer is legit & he wants HALF. Hes said the same thing in several videos, so how can dlh be ducking him while hes fighting for 2 mil instead & still refuses to sign even after his ppv flopped,he can agree to the terms & the fight will be gauranteed for sept. It should be obvious that the Saunders fight is a joke. Hbo wont even show it because itll make them look bad. Does anyone actually believe him rematching jacobs instead wouldn't be a much bigger fight on ppv,or that it wouldn't give him far more credibility than taking a belt from a guy who CLEARLY lost to his last opponent akavov or some shi it. Be honest with yourselves you know they're scared of jacobs now,& will never fight him again ever. If this unification fight isnt worthy of hbo ppv it should be obvious that its a meaningless unification fight. Ward unified & became the greatest smw of all time by beating the best available opponents decisively,he destroyed froch @ a young age too,he then went up to lhw & took on senior ggg, & tamed him& took his belts yet gggroupies say hes a bum,hes soon to be one of the greatest fighters ever if he unifies lhw & beats kov again.(yes his win was legit & much closer fight than g vs jacobs)

Oscar is full of BS! When he first took back the lead position of GBP, it was "i just want to bring the fans the best fights". Everyone can see now that Fk head was and is full of that BS.

Anyone still suggesting that Mayweather should have fought Magaritto is a disgrace to boxing.Mayweather fought Mosley, Cotto, and Pacquiao. All of them beat Margaritto. Margaritto had plaster in his gloves. This guy should never be considered. Mayweather fought all of the big names out there. Baldomire was a more credible opponent at the time. He was the WBC champ and has upset the Welterweight King, Zab Judah, at the time. The plan was for Mayweather to come up in weight and fight Zab for the belts.
