Without question Ward is a great champion -- undefeated since puberty. The only problem I have with him is that he comes from the Hector Camacho "punch, grab and maul" school of boxing. The only saving grace Hector had was a theatrical ring entrance that almost made up for his dull fights.

Kell Brook also told everybody he wanted fight GGG at 160, but that didn't stop some people talking about GGG "dragging him up" or "making" him do it.

this is the first time i have ever heard tom of k2 say they want that fight if ward is at 168... before it was always excuses so maybe it might happen! Ward vs GGG will sell out in vegas, new york, or la/oakland!

doesnt matter. The "but but but Abel said doe" crowd has set the precedent that ANYTHING said by ANY MEMBER of a fighters team is set in stone for all eternity, and MUST happen immediately or its a duck!

yeah, its called NEGOTIATING. You can look it up if you're not familiar with it.

Or, they could pull a Dawson and just concede the weight right off the bat. Yeah, that worked out real good for Chad......

its real easy to say youll fight ward at 168 when you know he gotta fight kovalev again...and u know it will be at least another year before ward has to get on that scale to make 168 against you...LOL

diminutive gee don't want this fight...never did...not now...not in the future

I like GGG, but loffler needs to stfu. I know that this is a business, but a fighter or promoter should NEVER say that ill fight fighter A at 168, but not fighter B. That made him look like a pu $$Y. He should have just stood on the idea that he is, first, collecting all the belts at 160, THEN we'll talk about moving up.

Negotiations will be tough, Ward and Kovalev together sells fewer PPV than Golovkin fighting an unfairly obscure fighter (Jacobs). But Ward demands he gets paid like he's a star, Roc Nation must lose money every fight between him and Cotto.

But it wasn't negotiating. Particularly since K2 said....maybe 2017 to Ward after throwing 164 out there. Just like it wasn't negotiating when Team Golovkin told GBP 160 or no fight. It's only negotiating when you actually concede something. Like they did on money to make the Jacobs fight.
