Sorry but this kid is going to be totally drained at 165!
To bad the federations and boxing commissions have no ba!!z, to step in and stop these types of contracts.
This Golden Boy team is a disgrace and Oscar will soon enough be taken down a few pegs once Canelo has reached his crest.

Oscar is a huge negative in the sport, shame on him as he preached he would do things better than the old promoters did. He's worse!

It would be great if he actually showed up prepared for once.

Well, I'm not the one who said what is in my quote. Take it up with Maxi.

                  - weighed 174.8lbs at the 30 day weigh in
                  - ie 14.8lbs over, or 9.25% over the 160 limit

                  Chavez
                  - weighs 178
                  - ie 13.5 lbs over the contractual limit of 164.5, or 8.2% over

Couple of other 30-day weight comparisons:

Lemieux (vs Golovkin): 9.6% over the fight limit
                  Wade (vs Golovkin): 9.8%
                  Brook (vs Golovkin): 10%
                  Canelo (vs Khan): 5.7%
                  Mayweather (Pac): 2.4%

These aren't cherry picked, just the easiest ones to find.

Its still quite a bit of weight to lose, but Chavez looks to be on point with the weight so far, and depends if he manages it right between now and fight night. Promising.
the only thing with that..is that Chavez Jr was already going down on weight on paper these are the "same" numbers. But Reality is that he is still huge. this CW was a good move by Canelo.

I stopped being a fan of conyellow when he GAVE the wbc belt to GGG. I used to like GBP also, but the complete BS that oscar talks insults the sport of boxing every time he opens his mouth. Id like to see chavez jr KO conyellow. Seems to me that Chavez jr wont be another pu $$ y and he will actually fight GGG if he wins!
