I guess seeing that young kid in Europe die last week during a fight still doesn't open up your eyes to make you understand that boxing is a very dangerous sport and no Boxer who gets in the ring to fight is a coward.

why are there so many people saying he still has a lot of weight to lose?
He used to cut 20+ lbs of water weight and balloon up inbetween fights. Hes been slim for a while now and 14 pounds is nothing a month left. He will be fine

Chavez
- weighs 178
- ie 13.5 lbs over the contractual limit of 164.5, or 8.2% over
Couple of other 30-day weight comparisons:
Lemieux (vs Golovkin): 9.6% over the fight limit
Wade (vs Golovkin): 9.8%
Brook (vs Golovkin): 10%
Canelo (vs Khan): 5.7%
Mayweather (Pac): 2.4%
These aren't cherry picked, just the easiest ones to find.
Its still quite a bit of weight to lose, but Chavez looks to be on point with the weight so far, and depends if he manages it right between now and fight night. Promising.

1 camp with Nacho won't make much difference technically
but it will prepare him well physically/mentally
Canelo gonna lite that boy up

its those last couple of pounds
hence the current trend of HUGE weight-penalties
Pac started it with Hoya
as-in..... you WILL lose that weight, and it WILL affect youLast edited by aboutfkntime; 03-31-2017, 02:47 PM.
