I just posted something about De La Greeda in the History section along the same lines... Ray it takes a lot for me to bad mouth a fighter... I agree with you 100 about De La Hoya and his impact on the sport as a promoter and as a person... and I have no problem with cross dressers and even drug users if they do not involve others and take care of their affairs... But some people are snakes and do not care how they injure others.
It's only water that's "cut" for the weigh in.

Chavez doesn't really have any fat left on him. He may be drained because he is naturally to big.

A motivated Chavez will give Canelo some problems, but styles make fights. Canelo should be able to tee off on Chavez all night

the number of pounds is not the issue, but it is the fighters bmi body fat percentage. if you dont have any more fat to burn off then the body starts working on all the water out of the muscles. then no more water the muscles and tendons themselves start to break down. leaving the person dry and stiff. lots of muscle cramps and chapped lips. he will be a dried carcass even if he hydrates back within 24hr. still will be lathargic with stamina or endurance.
