would canelo have sold more against jacobs? sure. canelo probably would have sold 275-300k tops.

nobody is dis*****g that canelo is a bigger star than GGG. but GGG is still one of the biggest stars in the sport. in terms of active fighters, only pacquiao, canelo & cotto are bigger PPV draws.
Wtf are you talking about? A year building up? They didn't hype that fight up that much. Fuggin buttlovekin has been a hype job getting OVER hyped for years upon years of fighting losers and still only does 110k. You triple P fans need to just admit the guy can't draw flies to ****.

I'm talking about people laughing at Canelo numbers, when they're FAR stronger than Golovkin's. It's a blend of bias and ******ity. Personally, I want boxing to do well, period.
There not that much higher....jesus you make it sound like canelo sold 500k for smith....he sold 275k for the smith fight...thats a 100k more which will represent the difference in the precentage split...60/40 .....look ppv is dead and i bet 90% percent of people didnt buy it on nsb they streamed it

Serious question though when has any fighter at ggg level belts popularity whwnhas fighter ever taken a flat fee? Cantnelo didn't with Floyd. Neither did manny or cotto. Sh it Oscar even split the ppv with Floyd and Oscar was by a landslide the so called a side.

no idea, that is probably true..... but the fact that the flat fee is 15mil - or even close - kinda makes that a moot point

how he gets paid is irrelevant when you are talking a small fortune

hell, that is a big fortune..... only Floyd, Manny, and maybe Oscar really made that kind of money

There's the split then 17% for GGG.

Canelo is going to do close to 1 MILLION. While Lil G does 170k.

                EASY split now.

Cotto, but only vs canelo...made 30 million. That's why I don't get buttlovekin's people not taking the offer, running with it, assuming he wins, that puts him in a much higher purse bracket with any future opponents...Floyd, Manny, oscar, cotto, and now Canelo, all did well after fighting each other. I don't think triple P is nearly as confident in winning that fight as many might think.

You think your some big shot promotor. After seeing these PPV numbers would you still turn down that $15,000,000???Considering that Canelo could probably fight Charlo, Saunders, and Lemuix all for under that???
