Thats that they SHOULD of done. But GGGTards would still blame Oscar if GGG didn't like it. *** it could be for a BILLION $$$ and if he didn't like it they would still Bi@tch about it.

FYI $7 million plus 20% probably would be less than $15,000,000 after the networks and taxes take their cuts.

    • Good numbers, I thought it would hit 200k but it's good numbers. All the more reason for a rematch that will sell more.

Shadow i think we have to assume seeing as canelo only did 275k buys with smith alot of his fans also went the streaming way...but honestly who cares ..i dont care about the A side and B side its not x factor or pop idol its a sport were the best are suppose to fight the best and canelo continually made excuses in facing golovkin ....we all know canelo is the bigger draw but he's nowhere near he level of a mayweather or pacquaio....i hope your not getting drawn into this silly fame game when really all i want to see is the best facing the best...

how he gets paid is irrelevant when you are talking a small fortune

hell, that is a big fortune..... only Floyd, Manny, and maybe Oscar really made that kind of money
Lennox lewis had a purse of $17.5 million when he beat tyson

You are trying to compare canelos worst ppv vs gggs best, it doesnt work like that... canelos ppv vs angulo(375k) did more than the two gggs ppvs combined, and is not like angulo koed quillin before. 60-40 lmao..

I hear you man. But it's kind of hard not to take GGG's side serious if they turn down $15,000,000. GGG just got paid like $2.5 million for Jacobs. Who else is making $15 million??? Pac?? Klitz?? Maybe Cotto?? And Mayweather. Ward got $5 million to fight Kov. Kovalov like $2.

I want to see the best vs. the best as you do. And we will NEVER see a cent of it.

By the way who you got in the rematch between Ward and Kovalov??? It's pretty my much a done deal. Kovalov just sent over the signed paperwork and waiting on rocnation's signature.

Maybe if you earned more money yourself you wouldnt be so caught up in Canelo, Floyd & GGG's pursue & PPV Numbers !!!

My point is that GGG is marketable but doesn't have his own people supporting him in the US. He is more marketable than Cotto and Canelo based on fighting style and personality but his ethnicity makes it impossible to compete with them in the US market. Take away Mexican and PR fans and Canelo and Cotto arent that big.

Unfair to compare GGG's US Numbers to Canelo when there lives 30 million Mexicans in the US and almost no Kazakh people!
                  But today it's:

Who would you rather fight in their prime???

                    Mike Tyson?
                    or
                    Canelo??

I would rather fight Canelo for $15 million than Tyson for $17 million. Plus GGG's team thinks Canelo is EASY work. So according to them GGG can make $15,000,000 for 1 round of work.

GGG would have to currently fight like 6 times to get that much. Even if he fought 4 times a year it would still take him over a year to make.

Why doesn't he just take the $15,000,000 and have his JORDAN brand chip in a the rest? That's got to be worth something??? Over 1 million PPV viewers, a sold out arena, and GGG doing the advertising for Jordan Brand??? You would think that would be worth $15 million alone???
