In case you aren't aware of recent events, Canelo has nothing to be scared of any more
Exactly! So his plan to wait for ggg to get older worked to perfection and ****** fanboys will gloat if he wins as if he accomplished something. That's like Floyd losing to Thurman or spence it doesn't mean much cause Floyd is old
Whats the issue with him not cutting weight? And whats the issue with 160?
Because Saul Alvarez just made 154lbs, with no issue, just this past September and was able to more than keep a hard pace into the 9th round of the fight.
Alvarez is going up to 164.5lbs, to fight a super middleweight coming down a bit, but there's nothing about the chase of a money fight with Chavez Jr that gives any hint that Alvarez, at all of 26 years old, was dead at 154lbs.
With Alvarez's clear lack of interest in the middleweight belts, there's no reason for him to simply give away weight (especially where he's still likely able to make 154-156lbs with no issue).
Every pound beyond where Alvarez can likely comfortably make with no issue, likely comes with a cost.
LOL NYC no one cares about ginger there, there isn't many Mexicans there.
It's not about "Mexicans"; NYC is the media capital of the world, and if he's going to have the chance to crossover, staging an event in NYC, at either of the premier venues, will aid that process (picking up and being at least conversational in English would help even more).
Staging a fight NYC, gives the New York press a chance to see/touch Alvarez, Alvarez can run through the New York media circuit, and put his face in front of fans beyond his Mexican fanbase.
You go to NYC, in Alvarez's case anyway, for the chance to see down on Jimmy Kimmel Live and banter with an audience that likely hasn't seen all that much of him.

So he can fight chavez at 164, but cant find GGG at 160 where both would be comfortable. You canelo fans are so scared for your boy you are basically openly admitting he has to has to try and get GGG to cut weight in order to have a chance against him.
Trust me , canelo doesnt like cutting to 154 , thats why he rehydrates almost 20 damn pounds . 160 would do wonders for him he just doesnt want GGG at his best.

Chavez Jr and Alvarez both had to give up something to make their fight at 164.5lbs; Chavez Jr having to go through the hard row of shaving off that final e.5lbs, and Alvarez accepting the likely reality that he'll be in the ring with a 180lb opponent come fight night. Staging the fight at 164.5lbs was a realtively equal trade between the two fighters.
What is the tradeoff with simply taking the fight at 160lbs?
Golovkin is seemingly dreadfully affraid of even shaving his body a pound below 160lbs; Alvarez just made 154lbs with no real issue.
Ignoring the trinkets (I sincerely doubt that Alvarez would see any value in paying 3% of his take to each of the WBC, WBA, IBF, and WBO, with the possibility of the IBO looking for a taste too), you're basically looking at a junior middleweight and a middleweight looking to make a fight (with the Chavez Jr fight as the template).
Alvarez makes 154lb with no real issue, and Golovkin makes 160lbs with no issue; split the difference and you're at 157lbs, with the weight leaning in Alvarez's direction because he's the clear A-side star.
Golovkin's been a professional fighter for over a decade, yet he's never given a concession to anyone ever, and folks like you defend it, lol
Canelo fans: you can blow steam about how much money he makes, until you're blue in the face. Canelo avoided GGG when it mattered. He gave up his belt and ran. No amount of posts from bought off Internet groupies will undo this fact. I don't understand why his fans are so happy that Golovkin looked less than stellar against Jacobs. How it changes anything? OK, let's assume Golovkin is not so good as it was perceived by public. It just means that Canelo ran not from real but from imaginary threat. You're doing a great service to your idol here ))) Bravo!
He'll make money while GGG fizzes out as the man who turned down 15 million dollar to fight canelo.
Beat me to it.
Canelo will be selling out stadiums and making millions!!!
Triple Flop will be making... what... 2 million? Lol. That's how much I make in a year. Triple Flop keeps losing.
Floyd said it best... **** belts, show me that money. Canelo was taught right! Keep making that mula, King Canelo.
He will continue to embarrass himself and his promoter, and will slowly lose his casual fans, since even the dumbest mexicans will some day get access to civilisation (internet, social media etc) and find out that Canelo is just a fabricated star, a ducking coward and they have been fooled all these years. When he barely has any fans left he will fight a 39 year old GGG and still get knocked out and forever be remembered as the biggest disgrace Mexico ever had.

Lol you really don't want canelo to fight ggg at 160. You are terrified. Get over it. Canelo is not going back to 154. He's at 160 or should i say 168 lmao. Deal with it.
