30lbs above, 176 is probably outside of training camp, between fights. that sounds accurate for a big welterweight who has a large frame but doesnt balloon up getting fat.
Figure 10 pounds or so of actual weight to cut during fight camp and then you have a 20 pound water cut for the fight, which is in line with what the largest fighters do.

This. I mean spence here has probably 10 pounds of fat to lose during or before fight camp.
Hatton may have cut less water weight but he had waaaay more fat to cut and a way harder time making weight than spence for sure.

Anyway, I doubt because Chino weighed 156.5 against Lopez as a 147er, and used to weigh 149 on his fights at 140.
Anything can happen but I doubt a bit on that.
Pretty sure they stepped on the showtime scales.

As long as they make the weight, that's the only thing that matters. They are both big welterweights so no weight excuses after the fight.

that is a lot of weight to cut wow
By the time he's done with training camp, he's probably just cutting the usual 11-13 pounds of water weight during the lsat week before weigh-in. They have a method where they drain their glycogen supplies too.
If you do it right, that's not a lot of weight to cut, because most of that is prolly just excess fat lost during a hard training camp with a strict diet.
