Rigondeaux vs Agbeko, is not near the bottom in terms of viewership, overall, regardless of main event or not. especially when going against a Showtime Card. The biggest main event flop was Calzaghe vs Kessler.

the guy was on TV after stinking hte place out several times. after he beat donaire they tried their absolute best. youd on't think arum likes money? HBO?

they ditched him because you can make more money with a mexican punchingbag, and you won't literally damage the sport of boxing as a brand by bringing in such a boring fighter.

new viewers may potentially watch a rigondeaux fight and never watch a boxing match again. he is that bad for boxing. if people could make money off of him they would. there's no conspiracy or agenda here. the guy couldn't sell out a cuban chicken joint in miami. he squandered a ton of talent in the amatuers and was a lost cause when he got to a sport that is an industry dependent on entertaining fans.

nah, arum is racist! he no like black people. lol

some of yall actually think arum is holding rigo back and the potential of arum making lots of money from rigo just because arum is mad that rigo beat his filipino star? do yall hear yourself? lol

looks like his next fight is handcuffed to Miguel Cotto's next fight (likely as Cotto's co-feature); also, he could possibly see placement on the Ward-Kovalev rematch.

Rigondeaux commands too much money to get billing on a BAD/ShoBox type card, and that's about the level his standalone drawing ability currently is, so he has to bide it's time.

Arum didn't match Rigondeaux in a manner that would build him up to the boxing audience. Anybody with half a brain knows that matching him with face first Latin fighters like Montiel, Arce, types etc. can easily build a guy up, when he KO's them spectacularly. Ask Nonito Donaire. Arum preferred to save those types for the already established Donaire, to try and build him up instead though. If you look at how Arum matched Rigondeaux, you see that Arum made no attempt to match him with Arce, Montiel, or any other type of face first Latin guy his size he could look spectacular against. Instead you see weird match ups like 5'3 Rigs vs 5'8 awkward Cordoba, or 5'8 Marroquin as a short notice fight when Rigs hasn't even been in camp. Rico Ramos, an at the time undefeated, and slick guy. Joseph Agbeko, an iron chinned Awkward Ghanian, with good defense. You don't match someone like that, if you are trying to build them up. You match them with whatever ranked face first latin guy you can find, Mexican preferably.

If cowards like Frampton, Quigg, Cruz, etc. would fight him, I'd guarantee it would get good ratings, and the fight wouldn't be a stinker.

Haymon should put Rigs vs Flores on PBC. As long as Flores comes to fight, it will be a good fight.

let me get this straight. so rigo has all these amazing talents but arum is not matching him up with the right opponent for him to really shine? read that again twice. lol

so are you saying rigo has been fighting nothing but ATGs? is that why its tough for rigo to put on a show?

last question, so you really think arum doesnt want to make any money off of rigo? you think really is purposely holding rigo back and the chance of arum making money off of him because he's mad that rigo beat donaire?

so your basically saying rigo is a bum then? because why would arum save those fights for an already "established" donaire (your words) to build him up? wtf? lol. if he's already established what is there to build off from?

it doesnt matter who he's matched up with. those guys you mention, the fight wouldnt be a stinker because they will actually TRY to make it entertaining!! what are you not getting?

you just exposed yourself. rigo need big names in order for him to not stink up the place because without big names he would be too scare to go in for the kill and finish the fight.

so you blame it on the choice of opponents. but if he's been fighting crap opponents then wouldnt that make it even easier for him to take them out and put on a show?
