Did you notice how GGG's narrative suddenly changed last night.
He went from, "I know I can box like Floyd. I can box Smart. But that is boring for people. I want to bring drama show. People watch excitement. They want a show."
For Jacobs, he stated:
"I can't destroy him. He is very clean, good fighter. I need boxing. I need decision. This is sport. I am boxer. I am not killer."
His most effective work was done with a jab. As Max said to him in the post fight interview, we usually see him more active with his hands. So it seems that when he's staring into the face of a quality opponent, he too forgets about the "big drama show."
Don't get me wrong, I certainly don't blame him. I just thought it was interesting how his narrative changed.
