I like both guys. I don't have an agenda personally. I like Jacobs a lot and I like Gennady a lot. But it really did feel like GGG needed a KO in those final two rounds. Jacobs just seemed to be busier for much of the fight, and was outboxing him pretty definitively. I mean it wasn't a boxing clinic by any means, but Danny was outboxing him.

Yes the 4th round was huge...but even with that two point round I still personally thought that GGG was going to need a stoppage late to win.

And when I heard that it was going to be a UD, I thought Jacobs would win for sure. I was shocked when they said Golovkin's name.

Go watch the fight without sound. Jacobs threw but didn't land.

People standards for GGG is unreal.

Jacobs gets dropped, wobbled, and almost passes out at the end of the fight and is considered a win for Jacobs.

Canelo is much more accurate than Jacobs and has the power to stop ggg in his tracks, guaranteed. Much straighter shots than Jacobs and won't be scared to throw em. Better defense than Jacobs and will probably come in weighing the same.

It may just be the cut and dry way Golovkin is but it's like cruise control is his only drive. When he gets hit he just is like okay that was a good shot and doesn't become a killer in the competitive sense to keep that anxiety up in a brawl. He consistently goes by the book and becomes more conservative trying to expend less and less energy. That doesn't cut it if you have a killer in there like Canelo who will take advantage of his less is more style. He doesn't have an offense like Pacquiao or Canelo where they will turn it up to 10 in a high volume offense. He is more reserved like Floyd pot shoting but is an in your face fighter

Canelo really has the skills to make a long night for GGG. Can take a punch, and is one of the best active counterpunchers, Canelo's patience in shot selection might win the day if they ever do fight.

GGG will be timed and walk face first into counterpunches and traps all night. Canelo faster hands better combination puncher and can fight at multiple distances. Better defense and a strong chin. He will school and outbox GGG who has looked garbage his last 2 fights. Face looked like hamburger meat from shots from a welterweight who is not as skilled or strong as canelo. Was out boxed by a fighter not as skilled as canelo. GGG is a one trick pony and that might work against bums on house arrest but you see now why they refused to let him fight ward and why they refuse to move weight for better fighters and stay feasting on bums at 160.
