Yeah, I fought Cleveland in the Golden Glove finals one year. The guy could puch. We fought at 147lbs and like a little while later he was fighting at Light heavy or something. He must have really dried out to make the weight cause he just looked so much bigger than me. How did you do against him?

I saw Tarrick about a month ago at Jackies birthday party. Hes a nice guy man. Tarrick was an excellent boxer with really good movement, he couldnt handle constant pressure though. I sparred him at the contender auditions aswell. Its a funny story there but Ill get into that another time maybe.

Was Bill still training Lindell when you worked with him? I still see Bill. I love that guy. Lindell was a bad man in his day. I still cant see how he lost to Vanhorn.

I just looked at your record in the rec. Lally used to train out of our gym when I was young. He would spar with me but he would just play around with me. That guy was not very skilled but man was he just plain tough. I remember watching Norris send him sumersaulting into the corner. It seems that I actually remember watching you guys fight, was that on ESPN?

Thats a hell of an impressive list you got there. Once again, hats off to ya!

Guys I sparred with- Tarrick Salmaci. Bronco McCart (these two it was basically on a daily basis) James Toney, Dennis Andries, Gary Stretch, Lonny Beasley, Damian Fuller, Anthony Jones, Leo Nolan, Henry Brent, Marlon Thomas, Kady King, Darrin Morris, and plenty more that I just dont recall right now. The ONLY guy that my trainer would not let me work with was Joseph Kwianauka, that guy was something. He lost to Tate and then just disappeared.

Had sanctioned bouts with- Oba Carr, Jason Pappilion, Sean Daughtery, Cleveland Nelson, Jesse Brisceno, Carl Griffith, Tarrick Salamaci, Corey Johnson. Again there are others that I just dont recall.

Scully would have quite an impressive list I am sure, post it up John Im interested in seeing who we both may have exchanged with. Do you remember the guys that I named?

              sparring

I have sparred with Richard Stewart, who you may see soon. some east coast USA people likely have seen him on TV regional cable. He's 8-1 now. I've not sparred but worked the focus pads with Clarence "Sonny Bono" Taylor who was on ESPN2 2 in early May 2006. he didn't do anything I taught him in that fight, which he lost a narrow decision. considering I was past 40 yrs of age, I know Stewart took it easy on me. He's coming down from heavyweight to cruiser so I was happy to give him some work and help him lose a few pounds (that Dairy Queen Blizzard) on a slow day at the gym.
See you guys in the ring on June 2 at the Blue Horizon, June 3 in Trenton, NJ Sovereign Center as the ring announcer.
