I've sparred very good fighters such as Neville Brown, Ryan Rhodes, Glenn Catley and Dean Francis. I had the beating of Brown and Catley, who were both limited. But Rhodes and Francis were far better talents, I could hardly lay a glove on Ryan Rhodes and after doing a few rounds with him I said that he must be an even better prospect than Naz Hamed. Dean is a personal friend of mine, Dean would of beaten Calzaghe in the late 90's (if it wasn't for the shoulder injury).

I sparred with Rhodes at Neville Brown's gym in Burton in 1994. And I sparred with Catley and Francis at the Empire in Bristol.

I sparred with a guy who looked suspisciously like Mike Tyson, but it was probably just a little angry bloke with a lot of tattoos.

Hey! Enough of the past tense. The man's still going and I think he'll win a major title at cruiser.

I know that this thread is older but I just saw it.

Guys I sparred with- Tarrick Salmaci. Bronco McCart (these two it was basically on a daily basis) James Toney, Dennis Andries, Gary Stretch, Lonny Beasley, Damian Fuller, Anthony Jones, Leo Nolan, Henry Brent, Marlon Thomas, Kady King, Darrin Morris, and plenty more that I just dont recall right now. The ONLY guy that my trainer would not let me work with was Joseph Kwianauka, that guy was something. He lost to Tate and then just disappeared.

Had sanctioned bouts with- Oba Carr, Jason Pappilion, Sean Daughtery, Cleveland Nelson, Jesse Brisceno, Carl Griffith, Tarrick Salamaci, Corey Johnson. Again there are others that I just dont recall.

Scully would have quite an impressive list I am sure, post it up John Im interested in seeing who we both may have exchanged with. Do you remember the guys that I named?

You fought Cleveland Nelson? I defeated Nelson in my last pro fight. Tarick told me he split two fights with Nelson in the amateurs. As far as my sparring... man, I have started a list and I am at over 500 names so far... the best were, for starters off the top of my head, Roy Jones, Toney, Pazienza, Maske, Mike McCallum, Lindell Holmes, Marlon Starling, Steve Collins, Robbie Sims, Julian Solis, Allan Green, Chad Dawson, Tarick Salmaci, Peter Manfredo, Jose Antonio Rivera, Ahmed Kaddour, Jesse Brinkley, Scott Pemberton, Torsten Maye, Otis Grant, Eric Lucas, Donny LaLonde, Sven Ottke, Charles Brewer, Ray Olivera, Lawrence Clay-Bey etc etc etc... many more
