      Here's the difference.

Would Lemieux-Stevens have been an eliminator if the IBF knew Lemieux wouldn't follow the rules? If not, would Stevens have taken the fight?

        Truth.

Now the question is whether he's been planning to do this all along or because he realized/was told that he can't keep the weight off him.

In either case, I lost a lot of respect for him. He shouldn't resort to grabbing every advantage he possibly can. Be a man, put on your god damn boxing gloves try to beat the guy in front of you. So many divas in the sport.

exactly. GGG would have to fight Jacobs under WBA rules no matter what. Jacobs is GGG mandatory. Why would Jacobs fight under IBF rules now when he has never done so in his career?

I think so much time in between the 2 weighins could have influenced his decision, it was harder for him to stay within range for so many hours, so as soon as he found out how early the first weighin was he prob said ****it... of course this is just speculation from me, but thats what i think it happened...

Stop spreading false info around Motorcity Cobra and just admit that you're a biased racist.

Did he know, at the time, that he would weight in for the fight in the AM and then rehydration weigh in the next AM?

usually its PM weigh in and AM rehydration weigh in

So the WBONABO never gave sanction to the lemiuex stevens fight?

If they hadnt given a sanction, then lemieux wouldnt have won the belt surely?

Jacobs is a one hit wonder. He looked terrific KOing Quillen but that is the only good fighter he ever beat. Jacobs's next best wins are the great Mora and Truax who aren't even rated in the top 40 middleweights. The bookies have the odds right. Jacobs should be an 8 to 1 underdog. He isn't any better than Monroe and he isn't even close to being as good as Canelo.

my question would be if jacobs, at the moment he signed, knew that the weigh in for the fight would be friday morning instead of friday night?

maybe that could have influenced his decision on whether or not to weigh in again in the AM

Thats down to the NYSAC, not the IBF.

They ordered the early weigh in yesterday. Daniel jacobs could quite happily have remained under 10lbs until todays weigh in no matter what time yesterdays was.

He has chosen not to and relinquish the IBF belt if he wins because he wants a size and weight advantage. Thats it.

The problem people have is that lemieux got called a cheat for it, and Jacobs isnt.

Either call DJ a cheat aswell, or say lemieux wasnt is what people want.
